However, there’s something much worse than a difficult enemy, and that’s an annoying enemy. Be it a random wolf that’s a mile away and won’t allow you to fast travel, or a ghost that you can barely hit, the game has its fair share of irritants as well. However, there’s one enemy that fans can agree is the most annoying of them all.
Everybody Hates The Wraiths In Oblivion Remastered
Somewhere along your journey, you might come across a pretty glowing light or two. You may think they’re beautiful, but Will-o-the-Wisps are the most annoying enemy in the game. “I hated these bastards 20 years ago and hate them just as much today,” ranted one player. “For those unaware, they DAMAGE your intelligence and willpower. Not drain. DAMAGE. They also drain your health and magic. And are immune to normal weapons.”
“Their hitbox is the size of an ant,” said another comment. “Even looting them is annoying.” Even after you manage to kill one of them, you don’t feel like it was worth the trouble for their loot.

Will-o-the-Wisps are closely followed by Wraiths. A meaner and more powerful version of the ghost that can even cast certain spells. They also have an annoyingly loud screech to go with it. If you have the bad luck of coming across one and don’t have a silver, daedric, enchanted weapon in your inventory, you’re in for an annoying time.
Even the spells they use are particularly tuned to annoy you, rather than damage you. “I mostly hate the gloom wraiths due to them tanking hits making you overencumbered and silencing spells,” noted another comment.
While it’s not an enemy, the game’s aggro system definitely acts like one. “The distance you need to have a chance of losing aggro is crazy on some things. Had two trolls chase me to the gates of a city and they never lost aggro the entire time I was in town. They literally just waited outside that gate ready to jump me.” It seems creatures in Cyrodiil hold grudges for a long time.
