Batman: Arkham fans surprised by wild new trailer you won't be prepared for

After a long period of dormancy, Rocksteady Studios’ Arkham Trilogy is suddenly once again the hot topic of conversation.

We’re all well aware that Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League completely missed the mark, something that came as a surprise to very few of us.

The game’s servers shut down last month with Suicide Squad now playable only via its offline mode.

Its closure did have a silver lining though; it was confirmed that the Justice League were not actually killed.

Instead, clones of Batman and his allies were eliminated by the Suicide Squad, meaning that Rocksteady could now, in theory, create a new Arkham game.

A report by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier confirmed that the studio is supposedly now in the early stages of planning a new single-player Batman experience, although whether it’s related to the Arkham Trilogy remains to be seen.

In the meantime, we’ll simply have to revisit the original Arkham Trilogy to keep ourselves occupied … but we don’t exactly need to load up those games ourselves to do so.

Kai Cenat is about to embark on a Batman Arkham marathon stream, and he’s revealed the steam in style.

Cenat has really thrown a hefty budget at the stream’s reveal trailer which, I suppose, isn’t a total surprise given how long he’s been hyping this stream series up.

Warner Bros’ actually teamed up with the streamer for the trailer which sees Cenat assume the role of the caped crusader, recreating several of the trilogy’s most iconic moments.

It’s believed that the trailer marks the return of Batman voice actor Roger Craig although that hasn’t been confirmed.

Cenat will be playing through Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, Arkham Origins, and Arkham Knight; the stream will not end until all games have been completed.

Honestly, props to him. I think I’d feel a little bit broken even trying to complete just one of those games in a single sitting.

The streamer hasn’t made it clear whether he’s going for 100% completion or just story completion.

I’d imagine the latter but you never know. Watching him go for full completion on the Riddler challenges could be pretty entertaining.

It’s clear that in teaming up with Cenat, Warner Bros. Games is keen to push the Arkham Trilogy back into the spotlight; the sooner we forget Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League happened, the better.

The stream begins tomorrow, on 21 February, kicking off at 6pm EST / 11pm GMT.
