Developed by Playground Games, Fable was initially scheduled for a 2025 release. However, the game has now been delayed to 2026.

In an official Xbox podcast, Craig Duncan, head of the gaming giant studio, announced the delay.

The studio head also added that they’re excited about Playground Game’s progress with the title, and even if the news isn’t what people want to hear, the delay will be worth the wait.

So far, there hasn’t been a single miss in Playground Games’ catalog. Since this will be their first venture into the RPG genre, Fable’s delay makes sense.
