In a post on X by westerosies, the trailer was shown off with some of the enemies listed, along with some clips of what they’ll look like to fight. Along with the dragons that will surprise nobody, some interesting additions may be unfamiliar to fans who only watch the TV series.
Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Will Bring Players an Exciting New Adventure
Set in a World They Know and Love
A new gameplay trailer for ‘GAME OF THRONES: KINGSROAD’ reveals some creatures from ASOIAF lore that you’ll encounter throughout the game: • Dragons • Ice Spiders • Unicorns • Griffins • Cockatrices Releasing this year. pic.twitter.com/Vpya1OWL87 — westerosies (@westerosies) February 15, 2025
The game will also feature ice spiders, griffins, unicorns and cockatrices, creating quite a variety of what players will be up against. Along with each different enemy type, it looks like they’ll be in particular settings that match the theme of what players are fighting. Field Boss Drogon is naturally in a field, but the ice spiders will be faced in a snowy cave filled with massive spiderwebs on the floor, walls and ceiling.
Game of Thrones: Kingsroad looks to have plenty of different environments to keep players interested, even though this wasn’t the goal of the trailer. From red sands to rocky mountains, players will be exploring some of the most interesting locations in Westeros. It’s set to be an open-world action RPG, so it’s only fitting that there will be so much variety in where players can explore and what they’ll be fighting, but given the game’s status as a mobile title, there seems to be apprehension from the audience.

One user said that the game would be better served following the path laid by Star Wars Hunters, launching on mobile while also being available on Nintendo Switch. This would surely broaden the potential sales for the game, especially among those who are resistant to playing mobile titles. For now, it’s only set to launch on Android, iOS and Windows.
With no concrete release date, there’s no telling how many more creatures will be in Game of Thrones: Kingsroad. It’s looking promising, with a good variety announced so far in an even larger world, but only when the game is released will players know more. For now, players should just make sure they’re charging their phones slowly to make sure the battery is ready to handle what’s looking to be a beast of a mobile game.
