Forget GTA VI, fans have already agreed on the perfect setting for GTA VII.

Despite the fact that we probably won’t see Grand Theft Auto VII for at least 15 years (if the timeline between GTA V and GTA VI also applies here), fans are already hyped for it.

We’re still a year away from being set loose upon Vice City and being able to enjoy all Leonida State has to offer.

Yet, there are other cities located in the United States that Rockstar Games could feature for its next game following GTA VI. And fans are already agreeing on which one it should be.

Over on the GTA Reddit page, a user posted an image featuring the three real world locations across GTA IV, GTA V, and GTA VI—New York, Los Angeles, and Miami respectively.

The post also suggests Las Vegas for GTA VII, a possibility that fans seem to agree on.

Of course, in the GTA universe, real-life cities tend to be renamed to something else. Usually it’s a parodic name in-line with Rockstar’s sense of humour poking fun at U.S. culture.

Las Vegas has already been established as being called Las Venturas in the GTA universe, having appeared in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

“Maybe Northern San Andreas, like San Fierro, Tierra Robada, and Las Venturas,” wrote one comment on Reddit.

“GTA VII is the perfect opportunity to recapture San Andreas and GTA V nostalgia,” wrote another comment. “They could do an RDR2 style thing where you mostly explore Northern SA for the bulk of the game, and then at the end you revisit Los Santos.”

It makes me feel a little old that we’re already discussing GTA V nostalgia, but I guess that’s where we’ll be at when GTA VII eventually goes into development.

“1940s-1960s Vegas would be awesome. So would 70s-80s as well,” a third comment wrote. “I really think these could be a cool GTA game to be honest. Give us old muscle cars, Tommy guns and 1911s, and dive into the story of an Italian American mobster.”

Some others in the thread were less keen on Vegas, however. One comment wrote: “Going from Florida to Vegas sounds disappointing.”

And another comment felt similarly, writing: “I’d want GTA VII to go back to a less ‘warm’ city with no palm trees after we’ll have been in the Los Santos and Vice City environment for at least like 20 years by then.”

Either way it’ll be a long time before we even get confirmation about GTA VII.

The good news is that we’re less than a year away from GTA VI, so at least we’ll soon have a new city to cause mayhem in.
