Hogwarts Legacy is back in the limelight lately following last week’s rumoured news that Avalanche Software is working on both a sequel and an extended version of the 2023 RPG.

Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier surprised us all on Friday with the announcement that Hogwarts Legacy 2 was officially in development but not only that, an “extended version” of Hogwarts Legacy was also being worked on.

Although we don’t yet know what this extended version will entail, it is exciting news for fans of the Harry Potter-inspired RPG, especially as content up until now has been pretty scarce.

That is why the Hogwarts Legacy modding community has been a saving grace by regularly releasing content to keep the game alive.

That is the case for this brand-new mod which combines the Wizarding World with Pokémon.

The Dekita Battle Pets mod will allow you to experience Hogwarts Legacy with your very own animal companion.

The free download adds multiple pet companions that not only follow you around but will also help you in combat.

You will be able to choose from standard pets such as cats, chicken and sheep as well as some magical beasts which will unlock as you progress.

Not only that but they will level up alongside you as you gain experience around the world and as a result, they can learn new skills and become even stronger.

“Many people think muggle pets are incapable of magic, but this just isn’t true,” the official description reads.

“A powerful witch or wizard would be able to teach any pet an array of powerful skills! Magical beasts however, each have a default unique ability associated with them!”
