Hold Onto Your Dragonborn Soul: The Elder Scrolls 6’s First Teaser in Years Is Here, and It’s Stirring Up Beautiful Chaos—Details in the Comments!

The Elder Scrolls 6 first official teaser since 2018 is causing beautiful chaos

Someone just spent a lot of money on The Elder Scrolls VI, following Bethesda’s first official teaser for the game in almost seven years.

Thank you in advance to Gameranx’s Dennis Patrick for the original story!

Last week, Bethesda revealed the first scrap of info we’ve had regarding the next Elder Scrolls title since dropping its teaser trailer way back in June 2018.

Said scrap of info came in the form of a charity auction on behalf of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which offered the winning bidder the chance to “create a character to appear as an NPC in The Elder Scrolls VI”.

Well, that auction has since come to a close – and someone apparently paid a whopping $85,450 to secure their place in The Elder Scrolls VI.

The thing is, we don’t actually know who won the auction. Bids seem to be completely anonymous and, although several people have since publicised their attempts at bidding, the person who dropped that $85,450 hasn’t actually come forward.

We do know that UESP (the folks who run the Elder Scrolls wiki), The Imperial Library (a site dedicated to Elder Scrolls lore), and “a large group of TES content creators” partnered up to bid on the auction but we were ultimately unsuccessful, thanks to a Tweet from the official UESP Twitter page.

UESP noted that they were bidding with the intent of naming the character after “a fan who had passed away recently, Loranna.”

The last time Bethesda held an auction exactly like this for Starfield, we never actually ended up finding out which NPC in the game was named by the winning bidder, so there’s a strong chance that the same thing will happen this time around as well.

Either way, it would be nice if Loranna made their way into the game regardless. If any developer is going to do something like that, it would be Bethesda.
