Assassin’s Creed Shadows joins the list of games with the longest credits in the history of gaming; it is not too far away from the world record.
We are officially in the age of hour-long credit sequences at the end of games. Creating a game is not a single person’s job; it is a collaborative effort and requires contributions from a large number of individuals and Assassin’s Creed Shadows is the proof of it.

Video games are known for having big credit sequences; GTA 5’s 58-minute-long credit sequence was one of the longest until Assassin’s Creed Shadows came into the picture. You will be surprised by how long this game’s credit list is.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ credit sequence is over 2 hours long. It would have taken a mountain of people to complete this game, and Ubisoft has not shied away from mentioning anyone who worked on it.
Of course, that’s lengthy but still quite far away from being the longest. The Guinness World Record for the longest credit sequence in video games is held by Mighty No. 9, a 2016 sci-fi adventure game that was crowdfunded through Kickstarter and mentions each one of the 67,226 backers who contributed to the game. The credits run for 3 hours, 47 minutes, and 50 seconds.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is not quite far behind though, with a 2-hour-long credit sequence, but it is still a lot more than GTA 5. The number of people required to complete a game has risen in numbers significantly in the past few years, which is largely why we see such massive credit lists.

… do they repeat?! How is that possible?

lots of localization teams, different services they used, program credits from things like dolby. Ubisoft uses pretty large teams for AC games

3000 people touched this game.
There is even a DEI section.

Thousands of people were involved in the making of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The game follows the journey of dual protagonists, Yasuke and Naoe, both with different playstyles and story arcs, and has actually opened up to a positive response.

Ever since the inception of video games, the number of people involved in making them has only increased, and the same can be predicted for the future as well. More and more people will be required to contribute to making the game.
Along with GTA 5 and Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Final Fantasy 14: A Real Reborn is known for its long credit sequence that runs for 1 hour and 36 minutes; even God of War: Ragnarok’s credits run for well over 30 minutes, similar to Red Dead Redemption 2.
The end credit list has gotten significantly larger in the recent past, and it will only be getting bigger from here on. Do you sit through the end credits after completing a game or not? Let us know in the comments below.
