Bethesda’s plans to bring third-person mode might’ve been leaked as one player stumbled upon it in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Every fan was absolutely terrified when it was revealed that Indiana Jones is being adapted to the world of video games, and out of all studios, Bethesda will be the one overseeing the project. But somehow, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has managed to deliver and establish itself as one of the best single-player games of the year.

While it’s an incredible action-adventure title, one of the most common criticisms has been the fact that it’s an entirely first-person experience. Players have been requesting MachineGames to make third-person a reality. However, a new glitch has been posted on social media that might indicate that third-person mode might be coming to the game after all.

A Reddit user known as ‘theraineydaze’ has posted a clip showcasing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle gameplay from a third-person perspective. In this footage, we can see Indy walking around the map and riding a speedboat. According to the player, their gameplay got stuck in the third person.
This glitch happened right after the player loaded the game from the main menu, which lets players see Indy from a distance. Considering the fact that the game is built around the first-person mode, it looks surprisingly detailed from a third-person perspective as we can see many things, such as Indy scratching his head, that can’t be seen otherwise.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle apparently switched to 3rd person mode in a bug that occurred to a player🚀

Gamers have voiced their frustrations and discontent over Indiana Jones and the Great Circle being first-person even before its launch. According to the developers, the first-person perspective is the right option for an Indy game as it allows it to distinguish itself from other action-adventure titles out there.
However, considering the fact that there are various animations that can only be seen with a third-person perspective and design elements, it’s clear that MachineGames has been experimenting with a third-person perspective in some way or shape. There’s a chance we could see it coming with the game’s next major update.

It’s not the first time we’ve seen Indiana Jones in video games, and it won’t be the last, but what Machine Games and Todd Howard have managed to do with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is quite incredible. It’s an experience that gamers can’t get enough of.
Since Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a purely single-player experience, it won’t be plagued with seasonal updates and content additions. However, the developer will continue providing support even after release.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle received a major update on December 17th that looks to address a number of issues, including the title’s graphical performance and fidelity. Since it’s a GPU-intensive title, due to its detailed environments and lighting effects, a number of gamers have faced issues.
With the latest update, the visual presentation has got a massive upgrade in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. That’s not all; the update fixes other gameplay issues in the game, which have caused a lot of trouble for players.
Gamers also have a DLC to look forward to next year called “The Order of The Giants,” which is likely to expand the story and bring a number of new characters to the table.
With that said, would you like to see a third-person mode in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle? Let us know in the comments below.
