Valve’s Steam page has recently caught our attention. Alongside ‘Deadlock’, their upcoming third-person MOBA, there’s a second, hidden listing under ‘Upcoming Releases’. This discovery has sparked excitement among us, especially those hoping for ‘Half-Life 3′.
We first noticed this hidden game when a Reddit user, Relevant_Basis5444, pointed it out. Despite adjusting our Steam filters, the game’s identity remains concealed. Naturally, this has led us to speculate that it might be the long-awaited ‘Half-Life 3’.
However, we should consider other possibilities. Some of us think it could be a simple glitch in Steam’s system. Others suggest it might be ‘In the Valley of the Gods’, a game from Campo Santo, which Valve acquired. But since Campo Santo has its own Steam page listing that game, this seems unlikely.
Another idea comes from user Accurate_Till7811, who noted that Valve’s page previously listed ‘Steam Gift Cards’ as an upcoming release. This was visible on archive.org as recently as December. It’s possible that this hidden listing is just an outdated entry for gift cards, now obscured after Valve updated their upcoming releases to include ‘Deadlock’.
While we hope for ‘Half-Life 3’, we should remember that Valve often surprises us. Without more evidence, it’s hard to say what this hidden game is. It might be a new project, but that doesn’t guarantee it’s the sequel we’re waiting for.
In the meantime, ‘Deadlock’ is generating buzz. This game blends elements of hero shooters and MOBAs, offering a fresh experience. It’s currently in development, with many of us already participating in playtests.
As we wait for more information, it’s best to keep our expectations in check. Valve’s history shows that they operate in unpredictable ways. Until there’s an official announcement, the mystery game will remain just that—a mystery.
