Elden Ring Nightreign release is facing contradictory opinions, while some say it is easy, there are folks who state otherwise.
Judgment day has arrived, or you can simply say Elden Ring Nightreign has gotten its long-awaited release. The game is supposed to be played with friends, if you have any. But for those who don’t, diving in solo is an option; however, that is not an easy path at the moment.
There have been complaints that the game is extremely hard for solo players, which is taking the fun away from a bunch. Looks like the power of friendship is the only way to play the games, or is it? Getting good has always been the point for Soulsborne games, so maybe this title just wants you to try harder.

All this time, players have been enjoying Soulsborne games solo, as it was designed to be. Elden Ring was no exception, but Nightreign has been built with the multiplayer aspect in mind. A game to challenge multiple people together instead of pushing it down on one single player.
However, many brave folks from the Soulsborne community took the challenge to try to progress Elden Ring Nightreign solo. Alas, almost all of them claim that the game is extremely hard and even almost impossible.
One of the members of r/Nightreign, Neggy5, expressed their experience with the new title, being an avid enjoyed of roguelike titles. They expressed that they are enjoying the game same like other roguelikes, and are willing to try better with every new run
However, there’s always duality in the Soulsborne community; if someone says it’s hard, others will say it’s not. Another user from the same subreddit, StoreFront6425, shared the alternate opinion of solos being viable. However, that is completely dependent on professional Soulsborne fans, and not their own experience.
Not just that, there’s an all-out war regarding the opinion on solo playability. There are people who say that solo playing is impossible. At least players need to progress the game in co-op for a few hours to gain some relics before running solo.
But again, the fanbase is adamant, as it feels like some kind of weakness they need to fight against. Maybe people should finally accept, it’s not like other Soulsborne titles.

If you don’t know, Elden Ring Nightreign is heavily inspired by Dark Souls 2, and it shows. Not via the lore, but rather the gameplay difficulty. Some say that Dark Souls 2 is outrageously hard due to the balancing of enemies. The same complaint can be heard with the latest title.
The Soulsborne series has always complained about DLC bosses being harder than the base game bosses. However, like always, they beat it and call it the best game ever. With Elden Ring Nightreign, there are multiple bosses that are just difficult even when playing solo. Give it a few days, and many will start saying it’s easy.
If you planning to try out Elden Ring Nightreign, do not pay heed to what others are facing. The gameplay experience is different for everyone, and the approaches vary as well. Still, it recommended you play the game with friends, instead of diving solo. This is a new experience, try to adapt like always, and enjoy the glory.
Have you been trying Elden Ring Nightreign solo? What is your experience like? Or have you been playing with your friends? Either way, share your story in the comments. We’d love to know!
