Coronation Street fans have been on quite the emotional rollercoaster recently and it seems that things are not slowly down anytime soon.

Recently on the cobbles, one of the biggest storylines in the ITV soap was the Platt family’s house going up in flames after Max Turner started a fire by putting petrol through the letterbox and setting it alight.

Max, who is the step-son of David Platt, had started the fire deliberately in an attempted insurance scam to help the family pay off debts caused by David’s theft from gangster Harvey Gaskell.

In new spoilers for Monday night’s episode, Max will be taken to court after being caught in the act and David will drown his sorrows as a result before he is drunkenly knocked down by a car, alongside pregnant Daisy Midgeley.

However, in disturbing footage, it seems that David has orchestrated a hit on himself after a preview teaser begins with him announcing his intention to be gone by the end of the day with his eyes fixed on a clock ticking away the hours.

The spoilers don’t stop there – here’s another three huge spoilers for next week’s episodes.

In new storyline scenes set to air during Monday March 10th’s episode of the ITV soap, DS Lisa Swain discovers her daughter Betsy’s bed hasn’t been slept in and is thrown into panic.

Betsy returns home after a night of drinking and Lisa explains that her behaviour isn’t safe with Rob Donovan on the loose.

Ignoring her mother, Betsy heads back out but becomes aware she is being followed and starts to pick up speed before viewers are revealed the identity of the man pursuing her – Rob!

Elsewhere, Yasmeen reveals to Alya that she’s sold her half of Speed Daal as they share an emotional farewell and Eileen finds terminally ill Julie in the undertakers discussing funerals with George and demands to know what is going on.

Meanwhile, in Wednesday March 12th’s episode of Coronation Street, Kit seeks out the truth after informing him that Andy Garland has been arrested and is claiming the Daisy and David Platt crash was a drunken accident.

In other parts of the episode, Cassie calls in the pub and asks Jenny for some shifts but Jenny sends her packing. Tracy’s thrilled but when Tommy arrives, her face drops. Tommy reveals that he’s accepted a coaching job in Southampton.

When Tracy asserts that she’s not moving and he’ll have to choose, what will Tommy decide? With Steve and Tyrone both making it clear she’s burnt her bridges, Cassie heads into the night.

Elsewhere, Ayla arrives at work and is furious to discover that the menu has been changed. Ripping up the new menu, Alya attempts to stamp her authority on her new business partner after Yasmeen’s exit.

Lisa breaks the news to Carla that they’ve found a body near the hospital and they think it might be Rob. At the mortuary will Carla confirm the body is Rob’s?

Towards the end of the week, Friday March 14th’s episode will see Tracey left fuming as she is fed up of Ken comparing her to Cassie.

After tearing a strip off Craig for failing to arrest Cassie, Tracy resolves to take matters into her own hands. In the ginnel, Tracy does a dodgy deal with a bloke but when Debbie appears, Tracy worries how much she’s seen.

Summoning Cassie to No.1, Tracy serves lunch and suggests they thrash out their differences. Tracy hands Cassie a bag of drugs and, determined to ruin her life, urges her to get stuck in. Cassie stares at the drugs, sorely tempted, will she succumb?

Elsewhere, Ed tells Dee-Dee that he hopes she won’t regret her decision to have her baby adopted. Dee-Dee assures him it’s the right thing to do.
