Kate Garraway rushes to console Good Morning Britain guest as she breaks down in tears revealing she’s ripped out SEVEN of her own teeth because she can’t afford the dentist

Kate Garraway rushed to console a Good Morning Britain guest as she broke down in tears on Friday as she revealed that she’s ripped out SEVEN of her own teeth because she can’t afford the dentist.

Layla Waters appeared on the ITV show to talk about her experience after Kate, 57, and co-host Adil Ray, 50, revealed that more than a quarter of Brits who haven’t been able to get an appointment with the NHS have resorted to taking matters into their own hands.

Presenter Adil pointed out how important teeth are and asked: ‘I’m sure you don’t want to have your missing teeth on the front of your mouth how they are now, but you have to live with it… how does that make you feel as a human being?’

Layla composed herself and replied: ‘It affects every part of my life. I don’t go out…’

She then got very emotional and started to cry live while trying to explain how she feels.

Kate then leant over the desk to hold her and and said: ‘Oh, my love. Come here.

‘It’s so awful, isn’t it? It’s not only the pain, but it’s the emotional and mental.’

Layla bravely continued: ‘People don’t get that side of it, but when I look in the mirror, my gap is all I see.

‘When I think of the person I was before, I’m totally different.’

Kate asked her: ‘So your confidence is gone?’

‘I don’t know how I made it here,’ Layla told her.

‘I think because everything happened so quickly, I didn’t have a chance to think about it. But I wanted to come because there are so many, there are thousands…’

Adil chimed in: ‘You’re doing this on behalf of lots and lots of people.

But Layla wanted to make it clear that she doesn’t want to avoid paying for herself, she just wants a more reasonable price point.

Layla composed herself and told hosts Adil and Kate: 'It affects every part of my life. I don't go out...'

Layla composed herself and told hosts Adil and Kate: ‘It affects every part of my life. I don’t go out…’

She replied: ‘Absolutely. I’m not here because I want free dental work.

‘I’m here because I need affordable dentistry.

‘It’s like you were saying, that’s absolutely never going to be dobale for me.

‘If I had an NHS that was affordable it would change.’

Kate told her: ‘Well, Layla it’s not right that you should be feeling this way.

‘It’s incredibly brave for you to come on because you are helping.

‘People will see and understand, and you will be helping hundreds and thousands of others in your situation.”

It comes after Strictly Come Dancing’s Nikita Kuzmin shut down Richard Madeley as he was left taken aback by a very personal question live on Good Morning Britain on Thursday.

The 27-year-old, who is from Ukraine, appeared on the ITV show to talk about his time on Celebrity Big Brother last year.

But Richard was keen to known how his loved ones are doing in Ukraine – given how they are currently in the middle of the war.

The dancer looked taken back, before curtly replying: ‘They are okay.’

Richard pressed on: ‘Are they heavily affected by what is happening, or are they managing to live a normal life?’

Nikita replied: ‘Well, I think everybody is heavily affected by what is happening and I think especially with the recent news, which is all political.

Shutting down the line of questioning, he added: ‘I will not get into that.

‘But yes, they are okay. I speak to them all the time.’
