Henry will be getting his hands on some exciting new weapons in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, new armor, and other things to aid him during his time in Kuttenberg. More advanced and powerful tools will require Henry to improve his skills to use them effectively, and one of the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 expansions will focus on one skill that wasn’t used enough in the first game.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 DLC Will Focus On Blacksmithing
Henry Will Follow His Father’s Footsteps

When players first meet Henry he is the son of a Blacksmith in Skalitz, and his father is in the process of forging a sword for their liege-lord, Radzig Kobyla. The sword is stolen during the game’s introduction and is a key point of the narrative, but Henry’s blacksmithing background quickly falls by the wayside. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 looks to remedy that with its second expansion, Legacy of the Forge.
Why Blacksmithing Is Perfect For KCD2
Forge Henry’s Legacy

Blacksmithing is the perfect skill for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 to focus on, both in the base game and with its DLC. In the first game, Henry’s skills as a blacksmith were rarely used in quests, and players would only use items like the Blacksmith’s kits to repair their weapons when they weren’t near a town with a swordsmith. With the game’s focus on historical realism, the lack of emphasis on Henry’s blacksmithing background was a missed opportunity.
Now Henry has more dangerous enemies to face in KCD2 and has access to better materials and tools in a large city like Kuttenberg, it makes sense that he should be using those blacksmithing skills to create new and stronger weapons and reinforce his armor. There should be new mechanics to master in a game’s sequel, with previous skills like alchemy and herbalism remaining the same, so adding a dedicated blacksmithing skill that contrasts with them is a good choice because it makes Henry more self-reliant. So far, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is making all the right choices, and there’s not long left until fans get to experience all the changes for themselves.
