Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – Here’s How You Can Secure the Best Possible Ending!

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Henry on hillside at the ending of the gameThe best ending for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is something you can only get by making good choices throughout your adventures. Showing mercy and not engaging in crime are the best ways to reach a “good” ending, which reflects almost all of your decisions. Reaching the game’s best conclusion may be difficult if you’ve indulged in any actions that reflect poorly on Henry’s reputation.

The ending of the game takes place after the Suchdol siege is over, as Henry goes to the top of a nearby hill. Here, all of your previous choices are judged by the spirits of Henry’s parents, who express pride or disappointment towards the person you chose to be. After playing KC: Deliverance 2, good judgment and keeping the most number of people alive create the “best” ending.

What Is The Best Ending In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?

Keep Your Honor High And Everyone Alive

The best ending in KC: Deliverance 2 is when Henry’s parents are extremely proud of him and every NPC close to you survives. This can only happen when you make selfless choices, which can be difficult as many decisions along this route will make the game harder.

To get the best judgment from Henry’s parents, they have to approve of all the choices you’ve made. Any disapproval of a particular decision will lead to a less-than-perfect outcome, which keeps you out of achieving the most positive interaction. However, even if you followed all the right options, the best ending also comes from not performing bad actions in separation from the story.

Most choices in the game are not necessarily “bad” or “good,” as they relate more to whether you want Henry to seek redemption or revenge throughout the course of the story.

For example, your parents will judge you harshly if you made a habit of stealing from people, even if you only took from snobby nobles. Stealing, murdering, pillaging, or being a general bad person will lock you out of the best ending, even if you make morally good choices everywhere else. As I found out too late, you have to take the high horse in KC: Deliverance 2 constantly to reach the best ending.

All Important Decisions For The Best Ending

Spare Enemies And Don’t Take Hits To Reputation

There are five major choices tied to the game’s best ending, which take place at varying points in the story. Most involve taking the “good” route, sparing enemies or refusing to outright kill others during your journey. Making morally positive choices during any side content will help contribute to a better judgment from Henry’s parents within the final moments of the narrative.

After overcoming all of KC: Deliverance 2‘s different obstacles and challenges, here’s what you have to do to get the best ending in the game:

Save Semine (Early Game)
Stand against the Dry Devil (Mid Game)
Spare Brabant (End Game)
Do not execute Markvart Von Aulitz (End Game)
Rescue Samuel (Final Escape)

Your first choice takes place at Semine Estate, where you are employed by the character Von Bergow from Trosky Castle. During the battle that takes place here, you can save the Semines within the estate to protect them from Von Bergow’s plot with the NPC Hashek to burn the place down. By killing Hashek and rescuing the Semines, you can burn down the estate to avoid suspicion but keep innocents alive.

The Dry Devil is a dangerous figure who plans to burn down an entire village during the “Dancing with the Devil” quest around the midpoint of the story. Staying to defend the village the Dry Devil plans to burn down leads to the best ending, but it does make the final siege much harder. Keeping your honor here is far more important though, even if it does lead to more combat in KC: Deliverance 2 later on.

The next two choices involve sparing major enemies, starting with Brabant after you sneak out of Suchdol Castle. Once in the Praguer’s Camp, you can find Henry’s half-brother Sam captured by Brabant and duel the company leader to save him. After defeating Brabant, you can choose to kill or spare him, with the second choice leading to a better ending but making your escape harder as Brabant raises an alarm.

You can find a dying Markvart Von Aulitz in the same Prauger’s Camp where you fight Brabant. In the Suchdol Inn, you have to leave Markvart to die of their wounds and not kill him in cold blood to make strides toward the best ending.

Letting your enemies live will set you on the path to the best outcome with Henry’s parents, provided that you led an honorable life. You can choose to help Sam escape along with you from the Praguer’s Camp, making it impossible to prevent the Praguers from stealing Sigismund’s silver during the final sequence of the story. Although saving Sam doesn’t impact the final conversation, it may reflect better on your conscience.

I had to go to several churches to atone for previous actions before the final mission to achieve the most approval from Henry’s parents. To get the best ending in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you have to be forgiving of others and do the right thing consistently to maintain a high reputation and keep Henry’s honor intact.
