This one particular quest in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered allows players to acquire a haunted manor by lifting the curse.
Last month, Bethesda Game Studios released the remaster of one of its most iconic games, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. This has allowed gamers to experience the 2006 classic once again, but in a brand-new avatar. Gamers dived right in and replayed some exciting missions in the game, which include the memorable Where Spirits Have Lease quest.
The quest is special because players get the opportunity to lift a curse from a manor by fighting an actual ghost. The entire questline is interesting and allows players to live out their Ghostbusters fantasies. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered had a strong start, quickly becoming the third best-selling game of the year in purchased copies.

In Anvil, there are rumors that a person named Velwyn Benirus is selling Benirus Manor for 5,000 septims. Players can find Velwyn Benirus at The Count’s Arms and can acquire the manor deed and the key to the front door. It seems like a great deal, but players quickly discover that the manor is haunted, as players will have to fight off ghosts in the manor when they first sleep in the manor. They can be quickly killed with a silver or a better weapon.
After going downstairs, players will discover a piece of paper entitled Scrap from Lorgren’s Diary and a Skeletal Hand. The paper reveals that there is a secret door in the manor that only a true-blooded Benirus can open. At this point, players need to head back to The Count’s Arms, where they will discover through people at The Count’s Arms that Velwyn Benirus went back to the Imperial City.
Velwyn Benirus can then be found at The King and Queen Tavern in the Elven Gardens District. After getting through some dialogues, Velwyn Benirus will agree to return to Anvil to help lift the curse. However, this will not work if his disposition with the player is less than 60.

Velwyn Benirus will be found at The Count’s Arms once again, and players will then have to follow him to Benirus Manor. Players will encounter more ghosts, but taking them out wouldn’t be too difficult. After heading to the basement, Velwyn Benirus will open the Sealed Portal and run away. Then players must head inside and find Lorgren’s Altar. The skeleton can be activated by placing the hand found earlier.
Lorgen then proceeds to fight the player, and killing him would lift the curse. Lorgren’s staff and the book Tome of Unlife can be picked up to keep or sell. The furniture and decorations of the manor will be restored, and the lighting will be returned to normal. The quest will be completed after players meet Velwyn Benirus at The Count’s Arms.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has quickly become one of the most popular games in the world. The game sold more copies in its launch week than the original Oblivion did in its first 15 months. The Remastered version is an exciting experience that players can try out while waiting for the next Elder Scrolls game.
