Looking for Belladonna in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2? Here’s Where to Find It and How to Use It!

Alchemy is an important part of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, especially since it allows you to craft Saviour Schnapps to save your game without sleeping or logging out. Of course, you have a variety of potions that you can craft using alchemy recipes that give you an array of benefits. However, you need each recipe’s ingredients before you can craft that recipe. Belladonna is one of the hardest to find among all the herbs in the game.

Henry is able to find most herbs while he journeys between locations, and you can stop to pick them up if you have room in your inventory and plan to use or dry them before they spoil. If you’re unable to find the herbs you need, you can generally find a merchant with some in stock, but it’ll cost you Groschen that you’ll need for other purchases, especially for items you can’t gather or craft on your own. As a result, it’s best to pick your own herbs for alchemy whenever possible, even if they’re tougher to find, like Belladonna.

Where To Find Belladonna

The best place to find Belladonna is in the clearings of wooded areas. Although the map in KCD2 is bigger than the first game, it’s easy to spot locations that are good options to check for Belladonna, thanks to the tree markings. Belladonna is dark, which makes it tough to see in the shade of trees. However, if you’re on foot, you can keep your camera tilted down and watch for plants that are tagged as Belladonna. Then, stop and pick them up. If you want to find them after they respawn, place a marker on your map for that location.

I also found that I could purchase Belladonna from merchants. Grocers, apothecaries, and general merchants all have a chance to carry Belladonna. The unfortunate part is that herbs tend to cost a fair bit of Groschen from merchants compared to being able to find them for free. Since you’ll need money for items that can’t be found or crafted, it’s usually better to gather herbs yourself if you can.

Alchemy Recipes With Belladonna

Belladonna is used in a number of alchemy recipes. You might not use every recipe with Belladonna during the game, but it doesn’t hurt to be aware of which crafts use it and what they do.

While it’s not used in too many recipes, Belladonna is used in a few important potions, particularly Saviour Schnapps for saving your game. Because of this, it’s worth looking for when you’re in a wooded area with clearings or checking a merchant’s stock. Then, you can dry it and have Belladonna available whenever you need it in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
