Marvel Rivals has the opportunity to become the biggest hero-shooter ever by taking this one inspiration from Elden Ring.
Marvel Rivals has been popping off recently, and as per Newton’s law, an object shall stay in motion unless it’s affected by any external force. Netease games have now come to a crucial point: where they get to make choices that will either make or break the game forever.

This could include introducing an Elden Ring-inspired game mode that would forever cement the game as the most fun hero shooter title ever. With the fundamentals of Hidetaka Miyazaki and the existing lore of the Marvel Universe, the studio has the opportunity to get Rivals a permanent top place on Steam Charts.

The recent hero-shooter game has made a name for itself in the already competitive genre. But if it were to introduce an Elden Ring-inspired Boss Rush mode, the game could ascend to legendary status.
The Boss Rush mode would pit teams of players against some of Marvel’s worst villains, requiring them to navigate battles against bosses that can potentially even evolve during the fight, much like the different phase boss fights in Elden Ring.
This idea is seemingly so good that even FromSoftware is already experimenting with something similar. The upcoming Elden Ring Nightreign is a co-op experience the studio looks forward to offering a group of 3 players, forcing them to survive in a reimagined version of The Lands Between for up to 3 days while fighting the most iconic bosses the studio has ever made.

While the basic idea of fighting a big bad boss with a group of friends might seem the same in both cases, the way Marvel Rivals can implement it is totally different. The biggest differentiator for gamers would be the known bosses of the Marvel universe, for whom gamers would give anything for an immersive fight.
Players can choose different difficulty levels, with higher tiers introducing environmental hazards, randomized debuffs, and time-based challenges. Choosing a higher level of difficulty can also mean better rewards for the players, including better skins and emotes and even ability upgrades.
Marvel Rivals already thrives on its character-driven gameplay, but introducing an Elden Ring-style Boss Rush mode will definitely take it to new heights. For MCU fans and hardcore gamers alike, this would be the ultimate fusion of cinematic spectacle and punishing skill-based combat
