Marvel Rivals is a brand-new hero shooter by NetEase Games that has taken the gaming world by storm since its debut in December 2024. Many expected the title to fail against its Overwatch 2 rival, but it seems like NetEase has succeeded against all odds.

All Marvel Rivals players agree that NetEase has done an incredible job with the game and the updates so far. However, they’re all up in arms when it comes to Galacta, the guiding voice of this incredible hero-shooter experience.

Usually, gamers complain about the playable characters since they can prove to be too overpowered. However, Marvel Rivals players are complaining about Galacta, who isn’t even a part of the roster. She’s the announcer in the hero-shooter that we simply can’t get enough of.

In the last couple of weeks, we’ve seen multiple posts on social media channels where gamers are expressing their frustrations with Galacta. These players state that Galacta gets on their nerves and needs some voice line changes. However, there’s a section of the community that doesn’t agree with these complaints and believes Galacta is fine the way she is.

Galacta has a habit of talking throughout the entire match in Marvel Rivals. She’s known for making comments about a team’s progress as they try to wreck their opponents. When you’re on a winning streak, it’s easy to ignore these and move on in the game.

However, when you hear “You can’t expect to win them all” after losing seven games in a row, Galacta’s voice can be a pain in the ears. It’s quite clear that Galacta doesn’t have enough voice lines for matches, and the repetition of phrases can prove to be tilting for players as they’re getting dominated.

However, that doesn’t mean that Cassandra Lee has done a bad job voicing Galacta. She’s performed brilliantly with the character with whatever she has been given to work with. It’s up to NetEase Games to come up with more voice lines for Galacta. Let’s hope the developer can listen to the community’s opinion on this problem.

Announcer Packs might be the solution for Marvel Rivals

If NetEase Games doesn’t want to change Galacta’s voice lines or add more of them, there’s another solution: announcer packs. Over on the game’s official subreddit, multiplayer players have asked if NetEase should add announcer packs that bring popular Marvel heroes.

Announcer packs could include commentators like J.A.R.V.I.S from Iron Man movies, Nick Fury from Avengers, and many others. A number of players have agreed with this suggestion, and it’s clear that announcer packs will be a smash hit.

Since gamers are divided over Galacta in Marvel Rivals, the addition of other characters as announcers could satisfy gamers. They wouldn’t think twice before paying for characters such as Thanos or Dr. Doom to commentate during their matches.

It’s not just announcer packs that gamers are desperately seeking; gamers want a number of new skins for existing characters. Players even want more team-up abilities since they’re a unique aspect of the hero-shooter.
