Fortunately, there may be more on the way as a recent report from Bloomberg claims that Avalanche Software is “now working on new content for Hogwarts Legacy.” What will be included in these supposed updates remains to be seen; it’s worth bearing in mind that until Avalanche or Warner Bros. Games confirms the report, it should be taken with a grain of salt. The news of additional content patches comes shortly after the confirmation that a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy is in the early stages of development, although information on this project is still scarce.
A Hogwarts Legacy Successor Is “One Of The Biggest Priorities” WB States
The RPG Cast A Spell On The World

It’s no surprise that Warner Bros. wants a Hogwarts Legacy sequel as the publisher desperately needs another success. While the Wizarding World RPG proved itself by being the best-selling game of 2023, Warner Bros. followed it up with a series of disappointing releases including Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions; it also recently announced the termination of MultiVersus. With such a rocky year, it’s clear that Warner Bros. Games needs another smash hit.
Hogwarts Legacy May Be Getting Expanded Upon
But What Will It Look Like?

While Hogwarts Legacy is already filled with content, I couldn’t help but feel that various parts of the game felt unfinished. I’d love NPCs to have actual schedules to make the world feel more immersive and I think the overall story could be improved if the ending was tweaked to be less abrupt. Even if more content updates aren’t planned, I have to hope that the sequel is at least able to learn from the community’s feedback and fix some of the lingering issues.
