MCU leak teases Hulk movie we've all been waiting for

A recent MCU rumour claims that Marvel fans will finally be getting the Hulk movie we’ve all been waiting for.

One of the most popular Marvel characters of all time is Dr Robert Bruce Banner aka The Incredible Hulk. Created by the late, great Stan Lee, ever since making his gamma ray-powered debut in The Incredible Hulk #1 (1962), he’s not only been a mascot of Marvel Comics but also a pivotal member of “Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’, the Avengers.

The popularity of Hulk grew even stronger once he was introduced in the MCU with 2008’s The Incredible Hulk who was then played by Edward Norton, later replaced by Mark Ruffalo for Avengers Assemble (2012).

For years, Marvel fans have longed for a standalone Hulk movie starring Mark Ruffalo but due to complicated movie rights between Marvel Studios and Universal Pictures, it’s yet to come to fruition but that may be about to change.

As reported by Fiction Horizon (via ComicBookMovie.com), according to industry insider MyTimeToShineH, a World War Hulks (plural) movie has begun production.

“I can confirm now that a World War Hulks movie is in development,” MyTimeToShineH told subscribers on Twitter.

The closest we’ve had to this kind of movie adaptation is with 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok which as the name suggests, was mostly about the God of Thunder, but also very much felt like a Planet Hulk movie in disguise.

Of course, we should take all unconfirmed rumours with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. That being said, if we are getting a movie inspired by the Planet Hulk and World War Hulk stories, Marvel fans have every reason to at least be a little bit excited.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated if we learn more information on the potential of the World War Hulks movie.
