Demi Moore won her first big award at the Golden Globes, earning Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical for her role in ‘The Substance.’ ‘The Substance’ is a 2024 body horror movie by Coralie Fargeat. It tells the story of Elisabeth Sparkle (Demi Moore), a fading celebrity who takes a black market drug to become younger (played by Margaret Qualley) after being fired by her producer (Dennis Quaid). However, the drug has shocking side effects.

It sends a powerful message regarding being an aging woman in Hollywood so it’s not surprising that Moore managed to snag the award for her brilliant performance.

In her emotional speech, the 62-year-old said, “I really wasn’t expecting that” and admitted she was in shock. Her appearance at the Golden Globes will however go down in memory also as the night she snubbed Kyle Jenner from the popular reality family who came to support her beau Timothée Chalamet.

In a behind-the-scenes video, Demi is seen hugging Elle Fanning and saying, “I can’t believe it.“

Kylie Jenner, sitting next to Elle, tries to join the conversation by shouting, “Congrats!” to Demi. Demi replies with a quick “Thank you” but then turns back to Elle and continues talking. Kylie’s smile fades as she realizes she’s been ignored, and she shifts in her chair, turning away from the conversation.

Demi is then spotted standing right behind Kylie’s seat while saying goodbye to Elle. She then notices Timothée Chalamet, Kylie’s boyfriend. Timothée shakes Demi’s hand and says, “Congrats, that was incredible.”

Even after realizing Kylie was there, the 62-year-old actress continued to ignore her as she finished her goodbyes with Timothée.

Some fans were shocked by Moore’s behaviour while some claim that it’s good for Kyle not to be at the center of attention for once. As far as we know there are no tensions between the two stars that would explain this awkward snub.
