Ignoring Skill Tree For Skyborn Might

So, one of the most important resources in Wuchang: Fallen Feather is Skyborn Might. If you don’t obtain this, you won’t be able to use certain skills and cast spells that can destroy your enemies. Earning it is quite simple, as all you need to do is dodge attacks, and the Skyborn Might points will start to go up.
However, what many players don’t realise is that weapon class also has its own unique ways to generate Skyborn Might with the help of the skill tree. So, don’t make the mistake of ignoring these skill branches. You need to master these skills as they can help you quickly build up Skyborn’s might. Another great thing about the skill tree is its role in unlocking new combos and ways to spend Skyborn Might.
One combo that quickly grabbed our attention was unlocked with Longsword’s Wind Force skill. It uses one might to perform a quick-charged heavy attack, which can be devastating.
Not Unlocking The Right Skills

Some of the best skills can be located in the left branch of the skill tree, which offers general boosts for Wuchang. For instance, the “Skyborn Call 1” node increases your maximum Skyborn Might stacks from 1 to 3.
This upgrade is crucial, as some spells in Wuchang require you to use multiple stacks of Skyborn Might. Having the ability to store multiple stacks will make you far more effective. Another thing we’ll recommend is to get your hands on “Manna Capacity” and “Manna Potency” skills. The capacity skill gives you additional uses of your mana flask, while potency increases the healing amount per use. Keep in mind that both of these upgrades require a rare material.
Not Experimenting With Weapon Skills

One thing we absolutely love about Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is the way weapon skills and upgrades are handled. If you’re unaware, there are five different weapon types, and each of them has its own skill tree. There’s also the inclusion of Discipline Skill, which is linked to each weapon category, and new ones can be unlocked by progressing in that specific skill tree.
Many of the skills can be chained into combos when you use the right sequence. On top of that, every weapon in Wuchang also has its own weapon skill, which makes the idea of finding new weapons exciting, as they all give you new attack moves. We’ll recommend trying out different weapon skills and experimenting without fear, as the game doesn’t punish you for it.
Not Exploring The Game
Exploration is rewarding. (Image via 505 Games)
As you fight through the dark world of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, a common rookie mistake is not exploring your surroundings. Explotation in this game isn’t just about getting some views, as it’s incredibly rewarding. Beyond the typical loot chests and scattered items, you’ll also come across birds that, when killed, drop an item called “Aurum Feather”.
What can this item do? Well, consuming it will give you a random temporary buff by either increasing your max stamina, health, or damage. These bonus stats can prove to be crucial in sketchy situations, so it’s worth hunting down these birds. If they’re out of reach, don’t hesitate to use a throwing knife or cast a ranged spell to take them out.
Not Using Swift Draw

After hours of experimenting, we’ve found that one of the most effective ways to unleash your weapon’s special attack is by mastering a move called “Swift Draw”, which most of the players don’t know about. Here’s how it works: simply press the left stick on your controller while having at least one stack of Skyborn Might. This lets you instantly switch to your off-hand weapon and trigger its unique ability.
With some practice, Swift Draw can become a powerful tool, allowing you to chain combos quickly while swapping weapons mid-fight. It’s a fantastic mechanic to expand your combat style. You’ll even find more skills to enhance Swift Draw on the left side of the skill tree, which we’ve already told you about.
Not Keeping An Eye On Madness Meter
Madness Meter must be watched. (Image via 505 Games)
So, another interesting system in Wuchang: Fallen Weathers is the Madness Meter. Unlike other games where you lose all your currency upon death, in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, you only drop a portion of Red Mercury. You can even go back to the spot where you died to recover it.
However, players forget that whenever they die, the Madness level increases. This can be tracked in the character menu. There are two particular things to keep in mind: once you go over 50% Madness, you start to lose more Red Mercury on death. However, the critical point is 90% as dying at this stage will make you lose all your currency. If that wasn’t enough, there’s a chance that an Inner Demon will spawn, and it must be defeated to reclaim the lost currency.
