Next Stop on ‘The Residence’: Uzo Aduba and Randall Park Reveal Their Jaw-Dropping Venue Choice for a Thrilling Season 2 Adventure! 🕵️‍♀️✨

The Residence

The Residence stars Uzo Aduba and Randall Park had such a smashing time portraying American spins on detectives Sherlock Holmes and Watson in Netflix’s new White House-set murder-mystery comedy that they might have come up with an idea about where the action could take place should the streamer greenlight a criminal investigation set at another iconic institution: Buckingham Palace.

“Coming out of this experience, I think Edwin Park (the FBI special agent played by Randall Park) is a lot better detective,” Park tells Gold Derby. “So I think that growth, professional growth, would make him a better partner for detective Cordelia Cupp (Aduba).

“And maybe he’d be a lot more muscular,” he laughs about his season two wish list. “Like, there might be some bad guys, and they might get into some fights at Buckingham Palace, or wherever we go.”

For her ideal visions of a return to adventure for Cordelia and Edwin, Aduba says she’d be curious to see Cupp working with a partner like Edwin, who supports her, instead of doubts or dismisses her like other colleagues have done in the past. “What happens when she starts a case from a place of trust?” she says. “I wonder how much better a detective she can be when she starts from a place of trust, and knowing that she has someone in this world.”

Park adds, “I would also love if there’s a scene where Cordelia Cupp is on a motorcycle and Edwin Park is in that little sidecar…”

“With the goggles and the helmet?” Aduba asks.

Park: “Yes! I don’t know, I just had an image.”

Aduba: “Driving down a country road.”

Park: “Yes!”

Sounds like a trip across the pond is in order, Netflix.
