Lune’s exceptional set of elemental abilities in Expedition 33 can be made even better by combining it with Kralim, one of the game’s best weapons.
Lune in Clair: Obscur Expedition 33 is an impressive Mage who can use elemental abilities to squander bosses with ease. But for her abilities to synergise and work in harmony, you need to know what to use and when. Don’t worry, the game will tell you all about it.
But what the game won’t spoon-feed you is how to create the right build with her. We can safely say that whatever build you might be dreaming of, this one’s better. Just make sure that you have Kralim in your grasp, as combining it with Lune’s elemental prowess can one-shot bosses.
Expedition 33 players should give this Nuclear Lune build a shot
YouTuber RedGael has created an insane Nuclear build for Lune in Expedition 33 that is capable of one-shotting bosses and dealing massive amounts of damage. For the build, one of the main requirements is that you need to have Kralim as it scales with Vitality and Agility in addition to dealing Lightning damage.
Combining Lune’s Mage expertise and Kralim’s lightning is the stepping stone for building the Nuclear build. While Lune already has her Stains, to use them to their full potential, she’ll need a lot of skills early on in Expedition 33, such as the ones listed below.
-
Ice Lance: It deals Ice damage and slows down enemies.
Wildfire: This skill sets enemies on fire and inflicts burn damage over time.
Lightning Dance: An extremely powerful skill that needs to be empowered with Fire, Ice and Earth Stains to deal the maximum amount of damage.
Thermal Transfer: It deals Ice damage to enemies and refunds AP if you use it on a burning opponent.
Elemental Genesis: It deals impressive damage just like Lightning Dance, and it requires one Stain of each element.
Crustal Crush: It deals Earth and Break damage in addition to offering you Earth Stains.
For the most optimal combo, start off with Lune’s Wildfire skill, then do a Thermal Transfer and finish it off with Lightning Dance. This will get you through most of the fights during Acts 1 and 2 and make your journey to Act 3 much easier with Lune.
As for the Pictos, the YouTuber has already shared an intricate guide on what Pictos you’ll need in both the early and late game and where you can get them to mow through every boss in Expedition 33.
Luminas like Augmented First Strike, Breaking Attack, Burrn Affinity, and Critical Burn will be crucial in Acts 1 and 2. However, once you move to Act 3, make sure to grab Luminas like Painted Power, Cheater, and Charging Critical. Make sure to refer to the docs while making this build.
While Lighterim is the recommended weapon for Acts 1 and 2, it’s best to go for Kralim before Act 1 ends, and it won’t be easy to get it in any way, since you’ll need to defeat the Chromatic Orphelin boss in Yellow Harvest.
But it’ll be well worth it in the succeeding Acts, as it’s Lune’s best weapon and also one of the finest weapons in the game. Kralim also offers three effects that could turn the tide of Lune’s battle:
-
It provides bonus damage for rotating elements up to 80%, which is a massive amount, and when it hits, it seriously hits.
If you don’t have a Stain during a turn start, Kralim will automatically generate 2 random Stains.
Kralim provides 1 extra AP which each Stain consumed.
So, get out there, defeat Chromatic Orphelin and take what’s yours, Kralim in this case, if you want to progress Expedition 33 like a madman and obliterate every boss, even the optional ones with Lune’s spells.
Make Lune an absolute beast in Act 3 of Expedition 33 with these skills
⛶
In Act 3 of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Lune pairs up extremely well with Maelle and Verso, but she’s still more than capable enough to stand on her own two legs to face bosses head-on. So, to make the most of her skills, here’s what you need:
-
Ice Lance (in place of Thermal Transfer): It slows down enemies and deals Ice Damage. Plus, it also generates Stains, something that Thermal Transfer is unable to do.
Terraquake (in place of Crustal Crush): It helps in breaking tough enemies while also generating Earth Stains
In terms of combos, it’s more or less the same as the previous Acts, but now that you have Kralim at your disposal, you get two random Stains. Since they’re random, start with Wildfire, Terraquake, or Ice Lance and then build towards Lightning Dance for one boss, or if you want to sweep a group of enemies, use Elemental Genesis.
For your Attributes, put everything in Agility and then prioritise Vitality and Might in that order since Kralim scales with Agility and Vitality, thus speeding up your movement and allowing you to deliver devastating blows. Don’t pay any attention to Defense because one-shotting is the name of the game.
For Companions, Sciel is the best pick as she can double Lune’s damage, and you can use Searing Bond to win a fight very easily. For a secondary choice, Maelle with a fire build serves well for Lune.
Honestly, Lune works perfectly with everyone in Expedition 33. Throw Verso in the mix, too, so that he doesn’t feel left out. As for Gustave, we’re not going to talk about him for obvious reasons.
