Hasbro has revealed three new expansions to shake up family game night and a redesigned box for the classic board game. The Monopoly Go to Jail, Monopoly Buy Everything, and Monopoly Free Parking Jackpot are set to transform Monopoly’s well-known playstyle. With Monopoly Free Parking Jackpot, players can turn the “free parking” space into a Jackpot. The set comes with a spinner that rewards players with free property or a cash payout. Players can upgrade to the Deal Mobile to draw bonus cards for free property and more.
Monopoly Honors its Anniversary by Shaking up its Gameplay

Monopoly Go to Jail might turn some players into criminals. The Jail and “Go to Jail” tiles are transformed into a white-collar criminal paradise when the expansion is attached to the board. Players will be able to collect Corruption and Super Corruption cards that will give them an advantage over other players; much like the base game, Go to Jail ends when the richest player wins. The Buy Everything expansion lets players do just that.
Everything on the gameboard is up for grabs if you have the cash. Players will utilize the buy die and the rotating Sale Vault to earn abilities and get the opportunity to purchase the Go to Jail space and the bank. While regular win conditions apply, players can also snatch victory by grabbing the instant-win Sale Card. Each of the expansions retails for $9.99 and is available now.
Hasbro has also redesigned the Monopoly box, now in a sleek, more compact package that features a new storage tray that reorganizes the game pieces, bank notes and game pieces. The redesigned Monopoly will also feature updated money designs, classic Chance and Community Chest cards, and high-quality Title Deeds. The sizes of the tokens for houses and hotels have been made bigger for easier handling and to make sure they don’t get lost. The newly designed Monopoly will come out later this year and will retail for $19.99.
Monopoly is one of the most iconic board games of all time. Played in over 113 countries and printed in more than 46 languages, the game has also had a slew of multimedia collaborations, from One Piece to Harry Potter. The game was initially created in 1935 by Parker Brothers, and after years of dominating the market, it was purchased by Hasbro. Since then, Hasbro has successfully leveraged the Monopoly brand to create product offerings beyond the board game. Monopoly Go! on mobile has taken mobile gamers by storm, delivering an addictive experience on the go.
