Alongside Pinnacle bosses from other endgame content, Zarokh is arguably the strongest single enemy you can face. While you don’t need to use the Realmgate in Path of Exile 2 to access the fight with Zarokh, you should treat this battle like an endgame challenge. This should encourage you to gather strong permanent buffs and avoid lasting debuffs to make your character the strongest they can be for this fight.
How To Start The Zarokh The Temporal Boss Fight
Complete Other Trials And Have A Character That Meets Requirements

The only way to start the Zarokh the Temporal boss fight is to complete four floors of the Trial of the Sekhema. The Trials of Sekhema in Path of Exile 2 are a series of challenges you can complete to earn Ascendency points, helping your character evolve. Floors of the Trials unlock as you progress through various Acts of the game, but only after you defeat Balbala the Traitor, a boss found at Traitor’s Pass.
The node with the Trials of Sekhema lets you travel through multiple chamber floors, with each imposing some sort of debuff on your character to make completing them much harder.

To reach the fourth and final floor of the Sekhema Trials, you need to have a Djinn Barya of at least Area Level 75. A Djinn Barya is a type of Sekhemas Coin found randomly throughout the other Trials as drops. By placing a Djinn Barya of the appropriate Level on the fourth-floor Trial altar, you can open up a path leading to Zarokh’s boss arena.
Thankfully, you do not need a specific amount of Honor to access the Zarokh boss fight. Whenever you get hit by an enemy during the Trials, you lose Honor, which is almost like another source of life for your character. Those who run out of Honor currency in Path of Exile 2 against Zarokh will immediately fail the Trial tied to the boss, so make sure to have plenty of this secondary health before you start the battle.

Fight Against The Flow Of Time

To understand how to fight against Zarokh the Temporal, you need to know what each of the boss’ moves can do. The table below describes all the attacks Zarokh can perform, as well as what you can do to counter them:
Attack
Description
How To Counter
Orb Barrage
Zarohk conjures multiple orb projectiles that travel slowly from it across the arena. Many orbs are summoned in a wide arc for a few seconds.
Stay far away from Zarohk, as the orbs travel slowly. While the projectiles travel, find gaps between them and walk to those spaces to avoid getting hit.
Portal Traps
Teleporting to the middle of the arena, Zarohk creates eight portals around the perimeter of the room. These portals produce time orbs that travel in straight lines, dealing damage to anyone they hit.
Orbs from this move and Orb Barrage can be absorbed by minions, totems, walls, and other obstacles you create. Find space between projectiles and create shields from your abilities if you can.
Time Bomb
Zarohk creates a slower orb projectile with an AoE radius around it. Anyone who steps into the radius of this orb causes it to explode, dealing damage to anything inside its circle.
Walls, totems, and minions can trigger the explosion, so either avoid the orb until it disappears or use something else to take the hit while it’s far away.
Temporal Tendrils
Teleporting to the middle of the arena, Zarohk starts spinning while casting magic tendrils that move counterclockwise. These tendrils deal multiple hits of damage.
Try to dodge near the center of the tendrils’ volley as they reach you in the arena so you dash through multiple hits. Doing this too close or too far away will cause you to take damage.
Time Mines
During Temporal Tendrils and when Zarohk is around 40% health, small AoE blasts of magic will burst from the ground in multiple spots. Whatever stands in these spaces takes damage.
Watch the glowing spaces where Mines will appear, then dodge or move away from them. You may have to time this with Temporal Tendrils at the same time.
If you die at any point during this fight, try to open the event menu to restart the Trial rather than fighting through an entire run to reach Zarohk again.

How To Counter
Spinning Clock
Zarohk creates an AoE circle with a clock hand moving within it. The clock spins until it hits the 12 mark, then quickly rotates back before exploding to deal damage.
When the clock hits 12, you will get teleported to its center. If this happens, dash to get outside its AoE to avoid the follow-up explosion.
Timeline Pillars
Similar to Orb Barrage, Zarohk creates projectiles that can harm anyone they hit. However, these projectiles are taller and travel at random angles when created.
Keep an eye on pillar projectiles summoned and try to dodge out of their path if they get near your character.
Out Of Time
Zarohk disappears while the arena distorts in color. Your character must walk to the center of the arena where a large clock hand can be found. Once the hand starts moving, players have a limited time to collect hourglasses around the arena or die instantly.
Plan your path to grab every hourglass before the clock hand hits 12. The longer you are in this attack, the slower your character gets, so use movement abilities to avoid being too slow.
This battle can feel like a bullet hell, especially when the quantity of projectiles becomes larger as Zarohk’s health gets lower. Stay on the move and watch your Dash charges until you land enough hits against the boss to tear their health apart bit by bit. With enough flasks and determination, you can counter each of Zarohk’s attacks enough times to pull out a victory.
Defeating Zarohk will cause the boss to drop a Unique Relic, which can be used to open up special runs for the Trials of Sekhemas. Despite your recent victory, you may want to beat Zarohk, the Temporal more than once to get even greater rewards in Path of Exile 2.
