Marvel fans are hyped over a perfect team-up that they’d love to see in an upcoming MCU sequel.

Despite perhaps not hitting the same heights post Avengers: Endgame, especially when it comes to the first few phases of the MCU, there’s no question that Marvel movies bring in more money than most productions in the Hollywood world.

One of the few success stories post Avengers: Endgame is the well-received 2021 movie, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which earned a respectable Rotten Tomatoes score of 92% from critics and 98% from the audience.

What’s more, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings generated a reported $432 million at the worldwide box office, so it makes sense that a sequel has been confirmed.

At this time, we don’t know for sure what story the Shang-Chi sequel will tell, other than we will see the return of Xu Shang-Ch played by Simu Liu. However, fans are calling for what they’d like to see in the sequel and it’s an epic team-up with Daniel Rand aka Iron Fist.

“The perfect Shang-Chi sequel is right there,” stated Reddit user LollipopChainsawZz. “I’m not sure why it’s taking Marvel so long to make a follow-up to one of the few actual good Phase 4 movies.”

They continued: “But if Marvel needed some inspiration… This would be a start. Just pair him with a new Iron Fist and watch the magic happen. It practically writes itself.”

“Shang Chi and the Cities of Heaven. Make Shang Chi fight as Ta Lo’s champion in a tournament where he has to fight Iron Fist,” suggests ThatIowanGuy. “Make them foes and have them pivot as contentious allies in the third act.”

“This is exactly the sequel I’ve wanted. Have The Hand as one of the antagonists trying to take advantage of Xu Xialing and her new Ten Rings,” BKWhitty replied. “I also like the idea of how confused Shang-Chi and Katie would be going to ancient other-worldly cities.”

“Well, now that we have Cox, Bernthal and D’Onofrio back as Daredevil, Punisher and Kingpin, I’m hoping we’ll get the other Netflix guys back,” said a hopeful CaledonianWarrior.

Shang-Chi 2 doesn’t have a release date at the time of writing but it’s likely to be two or three years away, at least. But hopefully, Marvel and Disney will drop much-needed information in the coming months.
