đ¨ EXCLUSIVE UPDATE: Stellar Bladeâs Bare Legs Mod just got REMOVED by Nexus Mods⌠and fans are FURIOUS! đ¨
The latest BOMBSHELL? A controversial mod that let players see the character in her bare legs was taken down in the middle of an ongoing censorship debate. đĄđĽ
The battle over censorship in gaming has taken another sharp turn, this time involving a Stellar Blade mod that simply made a characterâs legs visible. The mod, which altered the character Kaya to give her bare legs, was recently banned from the Nexus Mods platform, sparking widespread backlash and renewed debate over its moderation policies.
Popular YouTuber Vara Dark addressed the controversy in a new video titled âStellar Blade Mods BANNED, Bare Legs Are OFFENSIVE Now, Will Nexus Mods New Owners Stop Censorship?â where she slammed Nexus Mods for removing content that many consider completely innocuous.
âWe are not talking about like illegal, disgusting, degenerate content here. We are talking about legs,â Vara said. âYou canât make this [expletive] up. This is absolute clown world.â
The mod was first flagged by AyakaMods on X.
âJUST NOW: Stellar Blade â Kaya bare legs mod has been removed from Nexusmods,â they said. âNo report from the author yet.â
While the author has since reuploaded the mod to AyakaMods, the removal from Nexus has ignited a larger conversation about subjective enforcement and double standards.
Vara pointed out that Stellar Bladeâs director has clearly stated all main charactersâincluding Kayaâare adults.

âAsian people around the world tend to look younger than their actual age, so we take this into consideration when designing. All the characters are adults,â the director previously explained.
Vara emphasized that mods are optional user-created content, and that downloading a mod doesnât affect other players.
âWhat I download for my game doesnât affect your game,â she said. âSo therefore I should be able to download the mods that I want. And it should be just that simple.â

This controversy comes on the heels of news that Nexus Mods was recently sold to a new ownership group with ties to a startup called Gamers Class, which offers monetized âgit gudâ gaming masterclasses. Vara expressed skepticism over the new leadershipâs intentions, noting theyâve promoted monetization tactics including NFTs and in-app purchases in the past.
One of the new owners, Victor, responded to Varaâs post.

âWe havenât earned your trust yet,â he said. âThatâs why weâve chosen to listen first, support the team quietly, and let our actions speak louder than any post,â he said.
Still, for many long-time users and creators, that promise rings hollow.
âUnless theyâre willing to loosen the rules, I donât give a [expletive] what happens,â Vara said bluntly. âWhen weâve gotten to the point where theyâre banning bare leg mods, Iâm personally not very interested in what your platform has to offer anymore.â

For now, modders are increasingly looking to independent alternatives like AyakaMods and DEGMods, hoping for more creative freedom and fewer restrictions. Whether Nexus Mods will reverse course under new leadership remains uncertainâbut the backlash is growing louder by the day.
