THE NUCLEAR ARCHER: ‘CRIMSON DESERT’ PLAYERS DISCOVER ‘INFINITE EXPLOSION’ GLITCH TO ERASE ENDGAME BOSSES

PALOON — Forget traditional swordplay. The most “broken” strategy currently terrorizing the world of Pywel involves a bow, a pile of explosive arrows, and a mathematical loophole that provides “infinite ammo.”

The discovery, popularized by combat expert TagBackTV, has sent players scrambling to the northern mountains to build what is being called the “God-tier” ranged setup.

The Infinite Arrow Loophole

The core of the build involves reaching a 100% chance to not consume arrows. By stacking specialized Abyss Gears—like the “Infinite Arrows 2” dropped by the harpy boss at the Nest of White Feathers—players can fire explosive and poison rounds without ever depleting their inventory.

“You only need one arrow in your bag,” the report explains. “Once you hit 100% conservation, you’re basically a human artillery battery. It turns the game’s hardest boss fights into a one-sided target practice.”

The ‘Golden Knotted’ Armory

The weapon of choice for this nuclear setup is the Golden Knotted Ancestral Bow, hidden inside a bunker in the Silver Wolf Mountains.

To survive while painting targets, elite players are also hunting for the Skylazer armor set. The pieces are scattered in high-stakes locations: the gloves are behind a “tricky” waterfall near Doo Haven, the helm is in a secret cave at Wyvern’s Cradle, and the chest piece is hidden behind a rotating wall at the Sanctum of Devotion.

Consecutive Carnage: The ‘Bringer of Balance’ Hack

The archery build is further enhanced by the Relentless abyss gear, found on the Bringer of Balance two-handed sword (hidden behind a trapdoor in the Tshop region).

“This gear increases your damage with every consecutive hit,” a TagBackTV researcher revealed. “When paired with a high-speed bow or a rapid-fire melee weapon, your damage output ramps up exponentially. It makes the ‘Relentless’ name feel like an understatement.”

The ‘Save-Scumming’ Synthesis

Because these specific Abyss Gears are rare, players have resorted to “Save-Scumming” the Witch’s synthesis system. By saving before a craft and reloading if they don’t roll an “Infinite Arrow” or “Gourmet” gear, mercenaries are effectively “hacking” their way to perfect stats.

“It’s tedious, but the results are undeniable,” said one player on the community Discord. “If you don’t get the gear you want, just revert the save. The Ivory Tower scholars would call it cheating; we call it optimization.”

Shadow Claws and Legendary Wolves

Finally, the report highlights the Shadow Claw abyss gear, obtained by hunting down the Blackfang Legendary Wolf. Part of a long and “convoluted” questline involving the House Celeste and the Vela Fisherman’s Guild, this gear adds a secondary shadow attack to every swing.

As players continue to “exploit” these high-tier synergies, the difficulty curve of Crimson Desert is effectively being flattened. Whether it’s ‘infinite’ explosive arrows or ‘shadow-infused’ slashes, the era of the nuclear mercenary has arrived.
