Charlize Theron is back as an immortal warrior in The Old Guard 2, facing off against Uma Thurman in an epic Netflix trailer.
If you thought immortality meant an easy life, think again because Charlize Theron’s Andy is back to prove it in the jaw-dropping trailer for The Old Guard 2, which just dropped on Netflix’s YouTube channel. In this sequel to the 2020 hit, Theron reprises her role as the centuries-old warrior Andromache of Scythia, but there is a massive twist: she is no longer immortal.
The trailer’s opening line, where Andy declares, “quick is better than subtle,” sets the stage for a story as thrilling as action-packed. And if that is not enough to get your heart racing, enter Uma Thurman, looking every bit the fierce adversary as she squares off against Theron in a clash that has already got fans screaming for more.

The Old Guard 2 trailer picks up the story with Andy, played by Charlize Theron, leading her squad of immortal mercenaries on a new mission, but this time, she is playing on hard mode. We see Andy’s weathered face as she grapples with her newfound mortality, her voice heavy as she questions the power of Uma Thurman’s mysterious character, “first of immortals.”
It is a gut-punch of a moment that shows how much has changed since the first film, where Andy discovered she could be killed after centuries of invincibility. Returning alongside her are KiKi Layne as Nile, the team’s newest immortal, and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Copley, who is now fully aligned with the crew.
The trailer doesn’t hold back on the action either. We get a glimpse of the team in a brutal fight sequence, dodging bullets and swinging blades, proving they are still a force to be reckoned with. Andy’s mortality adds a ticking clock to their mission, making every move feel like it could be her last. (Via Netflix, YouTube)

We get our first look at Thurman, who is clearly channeling her Kill Bill ferocity as she locks eyes with Theron in a tense standoff, swords drawn. While Netflix keeps Thurman’s character under wraps, the trailer hints she might be connected to Quynh, Andy’s long-lost immortal comrade who made a dramatic return at the end of the first film. Then there is Henry Golding, who steps into the fray with another layer of mystery, delivering the thrilling line about Thurman’s character, “I am scared of what she is capable of.”
Known for his charm in Crazy Rich Asians and action skills in Snake Eyes, Golding’s character looks like he has a hidden agenda, adding a layer of mystery to the team’s already complicated dynamics. These new additions promise to bring chaos, tension, and some seriously epic fight scenes to the table.
The Old Guard 2 has us counting down the days until its Netflix premiere, and for good reason. Charlize Theron’s Andy, now mortal and more determined than ever, anchors the story with raw emotion. At the same time, Uma Thurman and Henry Golding’s arrivals crank up the stakes with their enigmatic roles.
