This week saw Bandai Namco host its Elden Ring: Neightreign network test and despite a few snags, fans were overjoyed to be returning to the Lands Between.

In order to get a taste for what the servers may be like when Elden Ring: Nightreign launches fully on 30 May, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware hosted its network test this past weekend.

Safe to say, it started off as a disaster with thousands of players unable to even get into the server.

However, things soon calmed down and players were soon able to try out the brand-new Elden Ring spin-off which can see solo players or groups of up to three head to the Lands Between to take on a series of formidable bosses together.

As with any network test, an optional questionnaire was soon emailed to those who took part and as well as asking some standard questions about their experiences, a little well-known game was officially mentioned for the first time in years.

Bloodborne.

It has been almost a decade since Bloodborne was first launched for the PlayStation 4 and despite constant pleas from fans, Sony has yet to release an official remaster or rerelease.

With creators having to work on unofficial PC ports themselves, a Bloodborne rerelease has become a touchy topic for fans so seeing it acknowledged by FromSoftware and Bandai Namco was quite the surprise.

Shared on the Nightreign Countdown Twitter account, a section of the questionnaire can be seen and asks players to rate Bloodborne (reportedly other Souls games were also featured).

The top option reads: “I really like it (I would definitely want to play the next instalment if there is one).”

Of course, this does not confirm anything but enough feedback could mean that the studios have no option but to remaster Bloodborne or finally work on a sequel.

It remains to be seen but it is exciting to see the game mentioned nonetheless.
