Combining the medieval setting of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, this upcoming RPG may just be one of 2026’s biggest releases.

Some of our favourite RPGs such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim may include vampires, with the latter even giving you the chance to become one.

However, neither title solely focuses on the blood-sucking undead and that may be just what we are missing. Luckily, we may not be missing it for much longer The Blood of the Dawnwalker releases next year, proving that fans are still very much into the vampire genre after all these years.

Developed by Rebel Wolves and set to release some time in the new year, The Blood of the Dawnwalker is an open-world dark fantasy action RPG set in 14th-century Europe.

Players will take on the role of Coen, a human by day and vampire by night, who must fight to save his family in a story shaped entirely by his own actions. Putting a unique spin on the vampire genre, The Blood of Dawnwalker will combine two distinct gameplay styles: stealth and all-out action based on the time of day.

At day, Coen may not be able to enter certain buildings but at night, thanks to his vampiric abilities, he will be able to overcome any obstacles put in front of him. However, as a human, he will be able to talk to other city-dwellers and the daylight will make for the perfect setting to scope out some interesting locations.

Published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, The Blood of Dawnwalker is already shaping up to be one of 2026’s biggest releases and it is not hard to see why.

An Intriguing Synopsis

“14th-century Europe. Bloody conflicts sweep the lands, and the Black Death comes for the survivors,” the official Steam synopsis reads.

As a Dawnwalker, Coed will forever tread the line between day and night but will he embrace his darkness or do whatever it takes to stay in the light and save his loved ones?

“Is your soul worth the lives of those you love?” The game asks.
