An upcoming racing game that looks like a spiritual successor to Need For Speed Underground 2 just hit Steam, and fans already seem pretty thrilled with what’s on offer.

JDM: Japanese Drift Master is an upcoming racing game from developers Gaming Factory, which plans to release on Steam on 26 March this year.

If you don’t wanna wait that long though, you can get your hands on a prologue demo for JDM: Japanese Drift Master (titled JDM: Rise of the Scorpion) right now, by visiting its Steam page.

You can also check out a brand-new trailer for the game, where the current demo for the title is garnering a lot of praise in the comments.

“I’m so hyped for this one, the demo was great, love the map’s design,” commented user @alejandrogorgal, “Between this and TXR we are eating good this year!”

“Looks great! Cant wait for March to get my hands on the final game, I keep playing the demo,” replied user @UltraViolet_Moses.

The Steam reviews for the demo are pretty positive too, as it’s currently sitting at a “Very Positive” score with 92 reviews over the last 30-day period.

Most of the folks over on Steam can’t help but make comparisons between JDM: Japanese Drift Master and Need For Speed Underground 2, with a lot of them praising the game for it’s tight drifting controls and the breadth of available customisation options.

Plus, much like Need For Speed Underground 2, you really can customise the car of your dreams, as JDM: Japanese Drift Master allows you to “choose from various licensed vehicles, including iconic brands like Mazda, Nissan, and Subaru.”

Hopefully, that means I can get my hands on a Nissan Skyline, so I can stick some fancy lights underneath it and attach an unnecessarily large spoiler to its back.
