As Ubisoft gears up to release Assassin’s Creed Shadows next month, the team has confirmed that no more delays are planned. There has been plenty of doubt about the series’ first venture into Japan, but recent previews have given fans hope to cling to.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows also leaked to the public recently, and players are now sharing their own thoughts on the game. Interestingly, the first impressions paint a highly positive picture of the title.
Why it matters: These impressions could create the additional buzz that Ubisoft so desperately needs at the moment as it looks toward redeeming itself.
As shared on Reddit, a user has collected his experience with the first 10 hours of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. He states that the game has more than lived up to expectations, delivering on his expectations of Ghost of Tsushima’s gameplay with improved stealth mechanics.
Elsewhere, the player praised Ubisoft’s work on the cutscenes. Assassin’s Creed Shadows features 700 cutscenes, and the user notes that the first two to three hours are packed with mo-capped cutscenes.
In terms of polish, the user’s experience has been mostly positive so far. As per the post, the game has yet to display any major bug apart from one rare instance of an NPC walking through a wall.
However, not everything about the gameplay has been positive so far. According to the user, the dodging and parrying feel sluggish.
It should be noted that Ubisoft will likely release a day-one patch for Assassin’s Creed Shadows at launch. The patch could address the problems existing in the leaked build, so things will only improve from here.
