Red Dead Redemption 2 becomes a much darker game when it’s void of NPCs, which is exactly what happened to this player’s world as they killed all of them.

Arthur Morgan’s journey in Red Dead Redemption 2 is a tale of misery as our hero endeavours to live a peaceful life.

Escaping the law and living a peaceful life is all he ever wanted, which is why it’s hilarious that Rockstar Games put such a gentle soul in our cold, degenerate hands to commit a variety of atrocities with.

That said I don’t think any of us can live up to what YouTuber Deelwheels has done, as they essentially committed genocide in the game by killing as many NPCs as it’d allow.

You can see the creator’s video breaking down the process of this monumental task right now, and yes the killcount does indeed exceed 2,000 characters so it’s well-worth the watch.

To break it down though it’s essentially a compilation of them slaughtering and maiming their way through the game, until the world grows quiet as all of its voices stop speaking.

It’s not how I’d play the game, but at this point I don’t think I want to object lest I meet the same fate as some of these NPCs…

Commenters had a field day this one as you’d expect, especially since Red Dead Redemption 2 features an in-depth honour system that can even change the game’s ending, and how NPCs react to your presence.

One commenter said “As a low honor player.. I look up to this” whereas another said “As a high honor red dead player, this horrifies me. Keep doing what you’re doing.”

It’s an impressive, but scary, feat of violence and I’d be interested to see if the same can be accomplished in GTA VI when it comes out this year.
