Finally, one of the best PlayStation 5 console exclusives in recent years has been announced for PC, and it’s releasing very soon. That game is Rise of the Ronin.

When Ghost of Tsushima, developed by Sucker Punch Productions, was released on PlayStation 4 in 2020, it became an instant hit with fans, which is why its long-awaited PC port in 2024 was welcomed with open arms.

Well, if you now find yourself craving more samurai goodness, then you’re in luck as Rise of the Ronin, developed by Team Ninja, is set to land on PC in March – a game not only for Ghost of Tsushima fans but also for those who enjoy Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice by FromSoftware.

Publisher Koei Tecmo has announced that Rise of the Ronin is coming to PC this March with all the added bells and whistles you’d expect from such a port.

“Rise of the Ronin takes place in 1863 Japan where, after three centuries of the Tokugawa Shogunate’s reign, the Black Ships of the West descend upon the nation’s borders and the country falls into a state of turmoil,” reads its synopsis.

“With Japan’s fate now in the hands of a ronin, players will encounter various historical figures. The countless choices they make, such as whether to assassinate or protect key political figures like anti-Sogunate leader Ryoma Sakamoto, will not only shape their destiny but also the multiple endings found in the game.”

The PC port of Rise of the Ronin will benefit from exclusive features such as 8K support, ultra and super ultra-wide monitor compatibility, enhanced ray tracing, customisable keyboard and mouse options, and more.

Rise of the Ronin will launch on PC via Steam on 11 March 2025.
