What Really Happened to Diogo Jota? 😔 The tragic car crash that shocked the world.
The details behind the devastating accident that claimed the life of football star Diogo Jota have finally been revealed. What led to this heartbreaking tragedy? 😢
Jota and his brother tragically died in a car crash in northern Spain on Thursday, with initial suggestions that it was caused by a burst tyre. The full extent will not be known until Spanish police release its findings.
Spanish police are said to be preparing an update in the next couple of days on the car crash that claimed the lives of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva.
The siblings tragically died following a road incident in the early hours of Thursday morning in northern Spain, which caused the vehicle to swerve off the road, leaving Liverpool, Portugal and the soccer world in mourning. The Reds’ return to preseason, which was initially scheduled for Monday, has been postponed in light of the devastating news, with the majority of the squad flying out to Portugal for Saturday’s funeral.
It’s believed Jota’s Lamborghini suffered a burst tyre which resulted in the crash, although that will not be known for certain until the findings from the Spanish police emerge. The Daily Mail claims the Guardia Civil and officials are working with the local government in Zamora to investigate how the crash happened.
The outlet adds provincial head of traffic in Zamora, Alfonso Ibanez, is compiling data on the road, including the surface and layout, and the barriers Jota’s car crashed into.
The A‑52 is a notoriously dangerous highway, which has seen several catastrophic crashes this year alone.
As per the Mail, investigators will consider a number of factors, including: the speed of the car, whether it had a tyre puncture, if there were road hazards, possible human error, fatigue levels and potential car faults.
