When Fallout Meets BioShock: A Fascinating New Adventure Game You Won’t Want to Miss

Ready for a thrilling adventure in a world where survival and strategy go hand in hand?

Imagine combining the post-apocalyptic grit of Fallout with the eerie, atmospheric storytelling of BioShock — and you get a unique experience that’ll pull you right into a world on the brink of destruction. This game drops you into a high-stakes scenario where every decision counts and the fate of entire planets rests in your hands.

In this adventure, you’re tasked with defending a planet using powerful, high-tech weapons and clever strategies. The atmosphere is immersive, blending dark, dystopian landscapes with intriguing, often surreal elements that will keep you questioning what’s real and what’s not.

If you’re a fan of Fallout or BioShock, then you’re most definitely going to want to keep an eye on PVKK.

Or if you want to use the game’s full name, it’s PVKK: Planetenverteidigungskanonenkommandant.

Yes, I’m being deadly serious; that’s what it’s called.

PVKK has been developed by Bippinbits and is set to be published by Kepler Interactive.

In this first-person adventure title, players will be tasked with manning a “planetary defense cannon” designed to “fend off an interplanetary invasion from the comfort of your cozy bunker”.

“You’re here to stay, so obey your superiors, press the right buttons, and sip your daily tea ration – it’s good for you,” reads the synopsis.

You’ll be able to interact with a “retro-tech cockpit”, pressing buttons and switches, pulling levers, and spinning dials – all of the things we all yearn to do whenever we see a large switchboard.

Your tasks include managing energy generators, scanning the skies for enemy vessels, and calculating and executing firing procedures amongst many other things.

You don’t have to man the cockpit all of the time, however, you are confined to your bunker.

When you step away from the cockpit, you’ll be able to read up on your next mission although you don’t necessarily have to follow orders.

“Face tough choices that challenge your ethics and loyalty. Will you follow orders blindly, or will you question the regime’s motives?” the game’s description asks.

“How will you respond when someone from the outside shows you their truth? Your decisions shape the story and can lead to multiple endings in a world where everyone believes they are doing the right thing.”

Very interesting.

The bunker you inhabit also reportedly features tons of secrets waiting to be discovered, which you can do so by participating in “escape room-style puzzles”.

I have to say, my curiosity has been piqued; PVKK sounds fantastic.

Unfortunately, it’s only set to release on Steam for now (sorry, console players).

You can wishlist PVKK but it remains without a release date at the time of writing.
