During these stress-inducing moments, Dr. Mauer was shown trying to stop Mark from leaving with Gemma at all costs. What will happen to Mauer after Cold Harbor’s failure is one of the questions that Severance season 3 must answer, yet the Lumon doctor also raises a query about other severed workers. The first group that Dr. Mauer’s comments could apply to are the severed workers of Lumon. After all, we do not know how big an effect the foiling of Cold Harbor will have on Lumon overall, and could result in widespread retribution. Now that Cold Harbor has been foiled, the plans that likely stemmed from this are dead in the water.
