After being targeted by critics on social media for the way she looked in a recent pic, Millie Bobby Brown wasted no time delivering a stinging comeback.
When the 20-year-old Stranger Things star shared a series of mirror selfies on Instagram earlier this week, some commenters took the opportunity to slam her appearance, saying she looked years older than her actual age.
Shortly thereafter, the actress seemingly responded with a message on her Instagram Stories, writing, “women grow!! not sorry about it :).”
Fans on X were quick to defend the Enola Holmes star.
“Not surprised she’s annoyed. She’s not a little girl anymore and people should finally stop treating her this way,” one person wrote.
“& she’s right,” agreed a second.
“Let’s vote to not comment on women’s bodies in 2025,” urged someone else.
The day after she posted the controversial mirror selfies, Brown shared an Instagram Reel captioned “the year of mrs bongiovi 🤍.”
The video montage, which was set to the tune of ABBA‘s “Happy New Year,” included behind-the-scenes footage from her May 2024 wedding to Jake Bongiovi, the 22-year-old son of Jon Bon Jovi.
The first clip showed the couple laughing and holding hands under an archway made of white flowers at their wedding ceremony in Italy. Brown wore a white custom lace Galia Lahav gown—one of four dresses she wore for her nuptials—while Bongiovi wore an ivory suit. The remaining snippets showed the couple releasing doves, watching fireworks with their arms around each other, dancing, and celebrating with loved ones.
