Other than Triss and Yen, there are several side characters that Geralt can have intimate relations with. He can spend his well-earned crowns at one of the game’s three brothels, and neither woman will bat an eye. In addition to this, Sasha, Jutta, Shani, Sylvia, and Keira can be romanced in The Witcher 3 – and none of these flings will have any effect on his relationship with Yen or Triss. However, when interacting with either of the two sorceresses, the player’s actions are much more significant and can even influence the outcome of the game.
Kissing Triss Won’t Upset Yennefer In The Witcher 3
Fully Committing To The Temerian Sorceress Is The Only Way Of Romancing Her

Luckily, kissing Triss won’t affect Geralt’s relationship with Yennefer in The Witcher 3. When Triss ends up in his arms during the “A Matter of Life and Death” quest, the player is at complete liberty to kiss her without consequence, as the two will soon be interrupted by Albert. However, this is as far as things can go if Geralt wishes to end up with Yennefer. Telling Triss that he loves her during the “Now or Never” quest will end with the two sleeping together – and understandably, Yen will not be too pleased with his actions.
After this, a committed relationship with Yennefer will be off the table.
During the “Now or Never” quest, players will be required to ask Triss to stay with him instead of leaving if they intend on romancing her instead of Yennefer. If she does not stay, then the complete romance arc between Geralt and Triss cannot be completed. After this, players will also have to run the “Carnal Knowledge Encounter” quest to fully complete the relationship. It is of the utmost importance that Geralt does not try to romance Yennefer in The Witcher 3 if players truly want him to end up with Triss in the story.
Committing To Both The Witcher 3’s Triss And Yennefer Doesn’t End Well

Trying to romance both Triss and Yen in Witcher 3 is possible, but this will ultimately backfire for the Butcher of Blaviken. If the player attempts to woo both women, they will actually work together to trick him, and he’ll end up chained to the bed, naked and embarrassed. When a gleeful Dandelion finally stumbles upon Geralt and unshackles him, neither Yen nor Triss will be interested in pursuing a relationship with him. Of course, this nullifies any chance of unlocking their associated endings.
This can be seen in the video by Cinematic Gaming on YouTube:
If a player prefers to have their happy ending with Yennefer, they can still kiss Triss Merigold in The Witcher 3 – but they should avoid taking the relationship to the next level. The game has strict monogamous relationships so players looking to woo either Yennefer or Triss should try and act accordingly so as to not risk ending up with neither in the aforementioned plot conducted by the pair of sorceresses. Even though it is possible to still kiss Triss without consequences within the romance path with Yennefer, the safest route is to truly roleplay and commit to her.
Sleeping with Triss will leave Yen heartbroken and blocks players from the chance of building a relationship with her. Alternatively, if Geralt tries to seduce both women, they’ll plot their rightful revenge together and players will be locked out of both main romance options in the game. In the end, there are pros and cons of choosing Yennefer or Triss, and so who the player settles down with is entirely up to them.
When choosing between the two characters, players should consider their own preferences and not forget Geralt’s prior relationships with the two sorceresses. Geralt and Yenneffer share something of a parental relationship when considering their fondness for Ciri, while Geralt and Triss also have a shared history – even if Merigold used magic to seduce the witcher a long time ago. Nevertheless, considering Geralt can still kiss Triss while pursuing Yennefer, the latter sorceress seems to be rather lenient with her lover in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
