The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman could have worked with some common sense to avoid all the problems that it had with the zombies.

The Walking Dead is one of the seminal classics of modern television, the first smash hit from the creator who would go on to make Invincible, Robert Kirkman. The show was one of the more modern takes on the zombie genre, which thrust back into the cultural zeitgeist with its brilliant storytelling.
However, given that zombie apocalypses have been part of popular culture for so long, there have been more than a few discourses about the genre and how it functions.

Recently there have been some things that have been pointed out, such as how the genre often has an overreliance on fuel and technology, which requires complex upkeep, when a lot of historical and obsolete elements in the world could serve as a better defense.

The Walking Dead had zombies that were affected by noises, which created quite the issues when it came to using cars or other vehicles that cause a lot of noise. There is also the fact that these would require them to have some upkeep, along with the availability of gar being an issue.
A simple solution would have been to use more mechanical means of traveling, like bicycles, which are relatively easy to maintain and make less noise. Further, it could keep the body active, and also not require gas to work.
Another idea that fans have come up with to deal with Zombies, if they did come up, was medieval armour. A full plate of armor could make it very easy to swarm through an army of zombies without having to worry about getting bitten.
In this situation, a wetsuit could also help people take on the zombies, which is not a logical approach audiences see applied to a lot of zombie shows, even when it is as popular and brilliantly written as The Walking Dead.
Is Robert Kirkman looking to give Invincible the Walking Dead treatment?

The Walking Dead has had a slew of spin-offs that have made it the juggernaut that it is when it comes to being a TV IP. It remains to be seen if the same treatment is given to Robert Kirkman‘s other smash-hit IP, Invincible. The comics themselves have a lot of spin-offs that connect to other parts of Image Comics, with characters like Capes Inc., Brit, and The Astonishing Wolfman headlining their own titles.
Some of these characters have made an appearance in Invincible and might be on their way to getting their own shows or movies, should Prime Video be interested in that.
There is a lot that Invincible has to offer in terms of its vast universe, where everything, from the GDA to the Coalition of Planets, has a rich history that can be explored. There are also characters like Battle Beast and The Immortal who could merit some stories in their own right, with the former even getting a comic book that would run parallel to the events of Invincible.
