Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, director of The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, is back with yet another banger game called The Blood of Dawnwalker, and it is nothing short of what one might expect from the critically acclaimed director of the previous Witcher game.

The Blood of Dawnwalker’s trailer was just released and exposed the upcoming game’s world in a unique way. The trailer managed to shed light on what players could expect from it, and most people feel that it still has the soul of The Witcher, just with vampires as the main focus.

Tomaszkiewicz does not need to establish himself as a great director now; he has already proved himself before and secured a stronghold in the industry. The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt is still one of the best games to have been released in the last decade. It was even the game of the year for 2015.

Tomaszkiewicz managed to build a great open world using unique narrative techniques, and the same can be expected of him from the upcoming The Blood of Dawnwalker.

The recently released trailer does an amazing job of exposing the game’s world and establishing the protagonist as well as the central conflict. The world of the game is riddled with the problem of plague, due to which the authorities are not even considering sparing the lives of children. The trailer opens up with a chase sequence where the protagonist is trying to save his sick sister from the authorities.

Things take an interesting turn when the confrontation between the protagonist and the army chief is disrupted by an ambush by the vampires that saves the two from a dire fate. Vampires are the good guys here, and the protagonist seems to have devoted his life to their cause after this encounter.

The trailer closed with a remark that the gameplay reveal will take place sometime in the summer of 2025. Nothing more has been shared with the public as of now. The upcoming game is not being developed on the same engine as The Witcher 3.

The dark, grim world of the grim is established around a beautiful town surrounded by high snowy peaks like the Himalayas. By establishing the dark world against the backdrop of these beautiful snowy mountains, the developer manages to create a contrast and forces players to witness the beauty in the broken.
