Bodies
In the time-travelling epic Bodies, based on the graphic novel by Si Spencer, Graham plays several roles as the mysterious figure of Mannix.
The intriguing drama, which spans four different time periods, sees a team of detectives trying to solve the same murder case after a body is found in several different eras simultaneously. The compelling series features Graham in the roles of a Victorian gentleman and a futuristic leader, with other cast members including Shira Haas, Poldark’s Kyle Soller and Greta Scacchi.

The Walk-In
In the true crime drama The Walk-In, Graham takes on the role of real-life Hope Not Hate activist Matthew Collins, who infiltrated a British Neo-Nazi group in an attempt to thwart the assassination of Labour MP Rosie Cooper. This tense five-part drama, which originally aired on ITV in 2022, received rave reviews.
The Walk-In also stars Game of Thrones actor Dean-Charles Chapman, Leanne Best from Line of Duty, Jason Flemyng from The Missing, Chris Coghill, Brendan O’Carroll and Dean Lennox Kelly.
Taboo
Fans of Tom Hardy and Steven Knight’s gritty historical drama Taboo will be pleased to hear that it is set to return for a second series. The first series, which aired in 2017, focused on Hardy’s enigmatic character James Delaney, who returns to England after 12 years in Africa to claim his father’s estate.
In Taboo, Graham plays Atticus, an informant from the underworld for Delaney, as the series explores political and business corruption within the East India Company. The series also stars Jessie Buckley, Oona Chaplin, Leo Bill, American actor Michael Kelly, David Hayman and Jefferson Hall.

Gangs of New York
Graham also featured in Martin Scorsese’s Oscar-nominated Hollywood film Gangs of New York, where he shared the screen with Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz and Daniel Day-Lewis.
Set in 1863, Gangs of New York depicts the violent clashes between Catholics and Protestants in the city, with Graham playing the character Shang.
The 2002 blockbuster is an epic historical drama that explores the early underworld gangs of New York, a project that took Scorsese decades to bring to fruition.
Yardie
In Yardie, Idris Elba’s directorial debut, Graham portrayed white Jamaican gangster Rico Grimes. The crime drama, based on Victor Headley’s novel of the same name, was released in 2018.
Set in 1970s Kingston, Jamaica, the film follows Dennis ‘D’ Campbell (Aml Ameen), who is haunted by his brother’s death.
The plot shifts to Hackney, London, where D is tasked with delivering drugs to Rico and starting a new life in the UK, all while pursuing his childhood sweetheart Yvonne (Shantol Jackson). Other cast members include Fraser James, Sheldon Shepherd and Everaldo Creary.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
In the British espionage thriller Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Graham takes on the role of former cricketer-turned-sports journalist and occasional spy Jerry Westerby.
This adaptation of John le Carré’s work features a star-studded cast including Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Tom Hardy, Mark Strong, Ciarán Hinds, Benedict Cumberbatch, John Hurt and Tony Jones.
Steven Knight’s Birmingham-based gangster saga, headlined by Cillian Murphy, is frequently hailed as one of the finest television series, tracing the rise from poverty to wealth of the Shelby family.
Each season has seen guest villains such as Sam Neill, Adrien Brody, Tom Hardy and Aidan Gillen, contributing to the growing popularity of Peaky Blinders over time.
Viewers were thrilled when Graham finally made his appearance alongside Murphy as trade unionist Hayden Stagg. This followed speculation that he might portray American mobster Al Capone, following his role in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire.
A film spin-off of Peaky Blinders, titled The Immortal Man and set a few years prior to the series finale, began production in September 2024. It will be available on Netflix once completed.
