Netflix just confirmed the beloved small-town drama will return for a 7th season ā but fans are already buzzing over the leaks and subtle clues.
A major departure.
A shocking return.
And one scene thatās already being called āthe most emotional moment of the entire series.ā
Virgin Riverās beloved cast has confirmed filming on the Netflix dramaās seventh season is now at an end.
The smash-hit series follows the heartwarming romance of Mel Monroe (played by Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) and has been in production in Vancouver.
At the start of the series, nurse practitioner Mel flees to the idyllic Northern California town after a tragedy and soon falls for rugged ex-Marine and bar owner Jack.
Season six concluded with the pair finally tying the knot in a stunning ceremony that wasnāt without its fair share of shocking surprises.
With fans on tenterhooks for the next chapter of the story, a number of Breckenridge and Hendersonās co-stars have taken to Instagram to confirm a wrap on the upcoming outing.

Dan Brady star Benjamin Hollingsworth posted a selfie alongside season five newcomer Kandyse McClure, who plays Kaia Bryant, penning: āFirst day of Summer and Last day of Filming Season 7 of Virgin River.ā
McClure added in the postās comments: āIt was the best day!ā
Zibby Allen, who plays Jackās sister Brie, also joined the fun with some touching photos with the cast.
āVRS7 wrapped,ā she wrote. āThese lives within these livesā¦ā
To which Hollingsworth replied sweetly: āI hit the scene partner jackpot.ā
Virgin Riverās iconic mayor Hope McCrea, played by Annette OāToole, has also finished her scenes for the season, as the actress wrote āBye Vancouver!ā alongside a picture of her dog Barry in a carrier.
Fan-favorite Colin Lawrence, who plays Jackās best friend John āPreacherā Middleton, gave fans even more insight with a video from his final day on set for season seven.
āAnd that, my friends, is a wrap on season seven for John āPreacherā Middleton,ā he said.
āOh gosh, what can I tell you? Another stellar season, in my humble opinion. This show has been the most fun to work on.
āIāve been so blessed to have been a part of this for the last seven seasons.
He then added, āFingers crossed more to comeā, leaving the future of the series up in the air, but also promised āmore laughs, more tears, just a lot of emotionā in the new season.
