At this stage, I’m imagining that the vast majority of those who want to play Hogwarts Legacy have, but if the game remains on your backlog then today, I’m speaking to you.

Hogwarts Legacy has vastly dropped in price since launch, and you can pick it up for relatively cheap these days.

If you are planning on picking up the full game I’d recommend you do it physically.

On PlayStation 5, for example, you can find the game for less than £30 at several retailers.

From the PlayStation Store though, the game will set you back a whopping £64.99.

Of course, some people have digital consoles so a physical copy isn’t always an option so to you, I’d recommend you take advantage of PlayStation Plus’ free game trial.

It is time-limited unfortunately, only allowing you to experience 45 minutes of the game, but that should allow you to see whether Hogwarts Legacy is for you.

I’ve got to admit, 45 minutes is pretty stingy. Typically, PlayStation Plus’ game trials last several hours, but that’ll be a decision made by Warner Bros. rather than Sony.

To access this free trial, you need a subscription to PlayStation Plus’ premium tier so yes, to state the obvious, the trial is only free within the cost of your overall subscription.

That being said, PlayStation Plus offers great value for money.

As I’ve just shown, a single AAA game can cost you up to £70.

One year of PlayStation Plus Premium will set you back £119.99, and that gains you access to hundreds of games, free trials, cloud streaming, and a library of films via Sony Pictures Core.

It’s a decent game, albeit one with a few flaws in its open world and, of course, one that exists in a troublesome context.

Still, if you’ve been wanting to give it a go, this may be the best way to do so.
