Prime Video’s adaptation of Fallout was a roaring success, resulting in the show dominating 2024. Yet, casting rumours for season two have fans concerned.

When Amazon’s Fallout aired, within the first hour, many fans felt relieved – the show exceeded expectations.

It resulted in a sudden surge of interest in the games, with newcomers wondering where best to begin their Fallout journey.

The hype train has continued at a steady pace since then, with fans eagerly searching for any and all details about the show.

Last month, fans rejoiced at seeing New Vegas seemingly return in photos taken from the Fallout set.

Since then, news has been minimal, except for the odd bit of insider gossip.

One such rumour that’s recently made the rounds is that an MCU actor will be joining the season two cast.

Rather than being seen as a positive, the Fallout fandom is divided over this development.

Kumail Nanjiani has purportedly joined the cast, as revealed on X by Discussing Films, with the original source being that of Jeff Sneider.

Deemed a reliable source, Sneider’s claim has sent fans spiralling as they argue whether this is a wise decision for Amazon to make.

“Obviously Kumail is a great casting, I feel like he should have been in season one,” remarked Detective_Yu.

Redditor F00dbAby added, “I feel he would be a fun person to run a vault.”

However, not everyone feels the same way.

According to one fan, this casting choice is a major cause for concern. They said, “Meh. Never seen him in a good role, which I can’t tell if it’s because he’s a bad actor, or they always write terrible characters for him.”

“He plays basically the same character in every role imo,” argued another.

In the comments, which are numerous, remarks on Nanjiani’s “painfully unfunny” acting are also made.

For every negative comment, there does seem to be a positive one in support of Nanjiani joining the show.
