GTA 6 players can get 'paid' if they play in a very specific way

Social media personality and content creator Adin Ross wants to make big money off GTA VI, but we’d be shocked if Rockstar Games allows this to happen.

The Grand Theft Auto series is one of the most lucrative properties in all of entertainment, and not just in the video game industry. Each new entry in the Rockstar Games franchise is met with commercial success and critical acclaim, and GTA VI will surely be no exception.

According to a Wiki entry, 2013’s GTA V is the second best-selling video game of all time shifting more than 210 million copies across PC and multiple PlayStation and Xbox generations.

There’s no telling right now how many copies Grand Theft Auto VI will sell but it’s safe to assume that there’s a good chance it will eventually surpass GTA V, and Adin Ross wants a slice of that lucrative pie.

However, there’s one major stumbling block when it comes to how Adin Ross wants to make money from GTA VI, and that’s that his proposed idea goes against Rockstar Games’ terms of service, as stated in an article from Sportskeeda.

So how does Adin Ross intend to make money from GTA VI, I hear you ask? As reported by Dexerto, he wants to create a role-playing server that incorporates cryptocurrency.

“It’s gonna be all RP. I’ll have the best and biggest server, I promise you I will and we’re going to put a lot of money into it,” said Ross and FaZe Banks in early February.

In an episode of the NELK Boys’ Full Send podcast, Ross explained: “When GTA VI does come out, I want to have an economy-based system where it’s all run off of crypto coins. It’s going to be backed by a legit asset, which is my server.”

“I’m going to make the server to where, if you make money in-game, you can cash out. I want people to be working and having an actual life on my server,” he continued.

Adin Ross also proposed that if you die in the GTA VI role-playing server, you will lose all your cryptocurrency. Which, to me, sounds a lot like gambling by putting your finances on the line.

Luckily, the chances of Rockstar Games ever allowing this to happen is about as likely as Michael, Francis and Trevor having a get-together on Thanksgiving.

At the time of writing, Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to be released at the end of this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. That’s assuming it suffers no release date delay.
