While we painfully wait for a Bloodborne 2 announcement, thankfully we have plenty of other FromSoftware goodness to enjoy.

FromSoftware is unquestionably one of the best video game developers of all time, treating us to the likes of Dark Souls, Demon’s Souls, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Elden Ring, to name a few. One other game is the aforementioned Bloodborne.

“Face your fears as you enter the decaying city of Yharnam, a forsaken place ravaged by a terrible, all-consuming illness,” reads the synopsis of Bloodborne. “Scour its darkest shadows, fight for your life with blades and guns and discover secrets that will make your blood run cold – but just might save your skin…”

Rereleased in 2015 on PlayStation 4 (yes, it’s now been a decade), Bloodborne is a beloved game by FromSoftware and for good reason, it’s a bloody fantastic game, as indicated by its impressive 92 score on the aggregate website, Metacritic.

Sadly, despite the likes of Dark Souls getting sequels, not to mention remasters as well as a remake of Demon’s Souls, there seems to be no sign of Bloodborne getting the same love, let alone a sequel.

That being said, we can at least get the next best thing, thanks to a Bloodborne-inspired mod for Elden Ring. The mod in question is called ‘Graceborne’ and is available to download right now for free via Nexusmods and is created by Noctis.

“Graceborne is a mod overhaul still in its infancy. Heavily inspired by Bloodborne, its main goal is to turn Elden Ring’s base game into a more grim and sinister experience through multiple means,” reads the description of the mod.

‘Graceborne’ also brings gameplay additions such as gun parrying (a feature in Bloodborne) and is set permanently during nighttime, which will no doubt make the Lands Between creepier than ever.

What’s more, ‘Graceborne’ features 22 new armour sets, 35 new weapons and much more. However, it has been noted that this mod is still in its early stages of development, so you may encounter some bugs.

Elden Ring is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. As for Bloodborne, that’s out on PlayStation 4 but is backwards compatible on PS5.
